Non-Binary Singer Gets Torched by America with Major Flop of a Recent Album

Sam Smith, a non-binary pop singer who was once smashing the top of the music charts with a string of high-profile hits, is getting torched by listeners the world over as his latest album, “Hazel Eyes,” has failed to even land on the charts. The album’s sales are essentially scraping the bottom of the barrel in the United States.

According to a report from The Sun, Sam Smith’s fifth album has failed to chart on the Billboard 200 due to only selling 6,500 copies. The singer is having a bit more success in the United Kingdom and Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands, coming in at 21 and 50 respectively.  “Hazel Eyes” did not perform so well in the United States.

Some of Smith’s earlier big hits include “In The Lonely Hour,” which landed at number 2 on the charts. His tune, “The Thrill of It All,” managed to take the top spot. “Love Goes” climbed to spot number five, while “Gloria,” which was released in 2023, hit number seven in the U.S. The non-binary artist wrote a song for the album that was inspired by his relationship with pop superstar Madonna, called “Oh Mother.”

According to Yahoo News, Smith and Madonna are close friends and have known each other for years, having previously collaborated together on the single “Vulgar.” The collaboration happened a year after Smith hit the top of the charts with Kim Petras on the song “Unholy.”

The singer has tossed a lot of praise in his idol’s direction, going on to say at one point, “M is an amazing artist. She just came to my aid so beautifully around the Unholy time, and I just have so many beautiful memories of when we’re in the studio together.” He then went on to discuss his admiration for her and her work, describing the impact the music had on his own art.

“And because of her support and years prior to that, I’d just been such a huge lover and just so inspired by her music, her art, but also her staying power,” Smith said. He then added, “She goes through so much s***. You just look at the comments on anything related to Madonna, and people are so cruel to her, but she sticks around, she stays, and she’s so strong.”

Smith, who is gay, is currently engaged to designer Christian Cowan. Smith was the center of a massive controversy for his satanically inspired dance routine during a Grammy performance of his hit song, “Unholy,” which was so bad it even underwhelmed adherents from the Church of Satan. A report from TMZ stated that David Harris, magister for the Church of Satan, said that the performance was “alright” and “nothing particularly special.”

Harris, who is essentially a cardinal in the Church of Satan, said that the imagery of the performance was just more of the same and was full of cliches that people have already seen from previous artists, featuring red clothing, fire, and devil horns, which he said is passe now. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called Smith’s performance evil, while former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called it “demonic.”
