Megyn Kelly has found herself defending Tucker Carlson from attacks from the left in recent days since his dismissal from Fox News. This time, her run-in with Keith Olbermann is making its way around the internet.
Of course, like any good news story, this all begins with the fine ladies from The View. Megyn Kelly responded to a video of the hosts of The View chanting and celebrating following news that Carlson would be leaving Fox News, effective immediately. Kelly tweeted:
“Not one of these women could solo host a show and get ratings. Not one. They are & will always be ensemble players. Their jealousy is on full display here, and ideological hatred too of course.”

This is where Kieth Olbermann enters the scene, replying, “What would you know about successfully hosting a show? Fired by Fox, fired by NBC. You’re 0-for-2 and you couldn’t get a job cleaning the studio at The View.” This turned out to be a huge mistake from Olberman, who then found himself on the receiving end of an epic Megyn Kelly monologue. Kelly said:
“But the record is very clear that I left voluntarily because I wanted to raise my family. Something you don’t know anything about because no one would marry you. And you have no children. You have a cold, lonely life in which you’ve become a bitter, bitter man. Something I wouldn’t know anything about because my life is joyful and I’ve managed to raise my own children. And someday I hope you have that pleasure. But I don’t have high hopes it’s going to happen.”
One Twitter user described this situation, saying, “OMG @megynkelly just dragged Keith Olbermann over a field of broken glass and then helped him wash his wounds with salty lemon water before pushing him down a flight of stairs.”

Earlier this week, Megyn was in the news for her defense of Tucker Carlson as rumors swirled about his parting ways with Fox News. During an episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on Sirius XM, Kelly spoke about Fox News’ possible reasoning behind the move. Will from The American Tribune wrote:
“This is a terrible move by Fox and it’s a great thing for Tucker Carlson. I don’t know what drove Fox News to make this decision and it was clearly Fox News’ decision because they are not letting him say goodbye. That’s my supposition.”
Continuing, she said that Fox News’ settlement with Dominion Voting Systems happened because the channel had called Arizona too soon and then was trying to make up for that with its more conservative base by attacking Dominion. In her words: “They called Arizona too soon … they were under pressure by their audience to reverse the call. The audience started to leave them in droves because they felt betrayed like they didn’t understand the mission of Fox News, which is to be fair to especially the Republicans who don’t get a fair shake on other channels.”
