In something that was quite funny, given her general awfulness, Fox News Channel’s resident liberal, Jessica Tarlov, faced a bombardment of negative comments on X (formerly Twitter) when she tried announcing and promoting her new podcast, announcing alongside the new episode the news that the way the podcast is distributed is changing.
As background, Jessica Tarlov mainly appears on FNC’s “The Five,” on which she nearly always spars with her fellow co-hosts, particularly the much more conservative Judge Jeanine Pirro, along with Jesse Watters and her near-constant antagonist, Greg Gutfeld. Tarlov, as a result, is quite disliked by most of FNC’s generally conservative audience.
In any case, making the announcement, Tarlov wrote, “🚨 Raging Moderates 🚨 day! Scott and I chat about the ever tightening race, respective media blitzes, hurricane fallout and how little interest Scott has in meeting my kids 😬 Subscribe and listen wherever you enjoy podcasts. We’re moving to our own feed next week!”
The commenters on Tarlov’s X post pulled no punches, roasting her for being, as they tended to put it, unwatchable on FNC’s “The Five.” One of the many commenters on her post, for example, wrote, “No one wants to listen to you! I refuse to watch the five when you are on and my friends feel the same!”
Similarly, another commenter called on FNC to fire Tarlov, saying, “Hysterical @TheFive @FoxNews Your audience changes to other platforms when she is on. Time to fire her.” Replying to the comment, one person told that commenter, “Time to fire the other 4 and find people that can keep up with her (Jessica).”
That was far from all of it. Another commenter, firing off at Tarlov, said, “I quit watching Fox because of you. Frankly, you suck and are dimwitted.” Another questioned the premise of her show and post, arguing, “The race isn’t tightening. It’s gonna be a landslide Trump win.” Another commenter, in all caps, wrote, “NO ONE LISTENS TO ANYTHING YOU SAY. I CANT STAND YOU AND TURN THE CHANNEL IF I HEAR YOUR VOICE.”
Very funnily, one pro-Tarlov commenter was triggered by the anti-Tarlov comments on the post, clutching her pearls and writing that “people are awful.” That commenter said, “Was waiting for this- look forward to it. And dear god the comments on this post. People are awful. Thanks for hanging in there.”
But, while a few comments like that one were pro-Tarlov, most of the others were not. Another commenter said, for example, “Whiny @JessicaTarlov promoting the next failure in her life…a podcast. No one watches the Five when she is on.” Similarly, yet another wrote, also roasting Tarlov, “You are so cringe on the Five. Taking temper tantrums, and lying. Your faces are cringe too. Harold Ford Jr is at least respectable. You are horribly annoying.”
Many of the comments were similar to other criticisms of Tarlov that have taken off online recently, with many furious conservatives sounding off on her after she got in a huge spat with Gutfeld and Watters live on air, leading many to call her “unwatchable” and demand FNC fire her.
