Rob Gronkowski made a career as one of the most electric and successful tight ends to ever play in the NFL. As the favorite go-to target for Tom Brady, he was given a platform that allowed him to speak his mind on live TV even after his retirement from the league. This time, Gronkowski gave his take on whether biological men should be allowed to compete in women’s sporting divisions.
Rob Gronkowski was visiting the US Capitol in September when a reporter approached him and asked one simple question. “Should men be allowed to play women’s sports?” Many public figures have chosen to avoid giving a straight answer to that question for fear of being attacked by the woke mob, but not Gronkowski.
With a smile on his face, Gronk gave an amazing answer to the reporter from the Daily Caller as he clearly laid out that he does not think it is right to have biological men transitioning to compete against female athletes. Continuing to smile, Grok began emphatically shaking his head as if he was asked the most ridiculous question ever.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Gronk used his words to elaborate on that point. He explained that the argument is so ridiculous to him that he barely even has words to share his thoughts. However, as a man of the people, Gronk tried his best.
He said, “There’s really no thoughts to really even share. It’s the obvious. There are men’s sports for men, there’s women’s sports for women. It should just stay like that. It’s just as simple as that, man. There’s really no argument. There should really be no conversation about it.”
He then continued, offering his incredibly simple solution to the issue. “How it’s been is how it should be. Men play men’s sports, women play women’s sports. It’s as simple as that. It’s really unfair if a man went into a women’s sport and played it. It just doesn’t really make much sense to me.”
Australia Gymnastics recently came under fire for their decision to not only allow biological men to compete in the female division but also to let all competitors use the same locker room facilities. Tennis Legend Martina Navratilova shared her thoughts on the matter.
She Tweeted, “To say this won’t end well is an understatement. To say Gymnastics Australia just threw females and girls under the bus is an understatement. What is wrong with you guys??? This “inclusion” actually will EXCLUDE biological women and most of all girls. #whataboutthegirls ???”
This question will continue to rock the world of women’s sports until society can come to a solution reasonable enough that both sides of the argument can agree. For Gronkowski, however, it seems that the only solution he would give his approval to is to have biological lines divide the two divisions. In a clear-cut solution, biological women would only be tasked with beating other biological women.
