Last week, the first March for Life since the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade was hosted at our nation’s capitol. The March for Life is an annual rally and march against the practice and legality of abortion, held in Washington, D.C. either on or around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
This year the March for Life featured NFL legend and NFL sports analyst Tony Dungy. Dungy attended the event in Washington, D.C. and was even featured as a key speaker to address the crowd. Tony has faced massive backlash from woke leftists, but he has remained firm in his Christian roots.
Sideline the Agenda posted a video of Dungy speaking at the March for Life, which had the caption, Those that advocate for a “right to choose” lose their minds when people choose life. There is only ONE choice when it comes to Pro-Choice. Tony Dungy understands this. He stands on his biblical principles and advocates for all life.”

There is only ONE choice when it comes to Pro-Choice. 💀

In the video the sports legend stated:
“Well, those prayers were answered Damar’s recovered. Now he’s home. He’s been released from the hospital. But what’s the less than that? You know, an unbelievable thing happened that night a professional football game with millions of dollars of ticket, money and advertising money on the line, that game was canceled. Why? Because a life was at stake. And people wanted to see that life saved. Even people who aren’t necessarily religious or religious, got together and called on God. Well, that should be encouraging to us because that’s exactly why we’re here today. Because every day in this country, innocent lives are at stake. And the only difference is, they don’t belong to a famous athlete, and they’re not seen on national TV. But those lives are still important to God. and in God’s eyes.
office.”
Dungy was referring to Damar Hamlin, a player for the Buffalo Bills, who made a routine tackle and his heart stopped beating after the impact. While the medical staff was assisting Hamlin in trying to resuscitate him, players on the field, commentators, and fans around the country prayed for the professional athlete. Those prayers were clearly answered.
Louder with Crowder reported on the power of prayer:
Hamlin is out of the hospital. Where he will hopefully be front and center at this Sunday’s Bills vs Bengals game and do nothing but stare at Tee Higgins to make him uncomfortable. Go Bills!
Making a big deal about openly praying over this one football player ties into the outrage over Dungy speaking at the march, or that one hockey player who didn’t want to wear a shirt. Woke media, which is most media, freaks out over anyone who has the slightest opposing viewpoint than them. It’s worse in sports media, where reporters are barely interested in sports as much as they are in promoting their progressive worldview.
That’s why it stands out when one sole ESPN personality leads an on-air prayer. Or the greatest quarterback currently playing the game does. So few have the courage to say the word prayer in fear the left is going to lash out them being homophobes who hate women, puppies, and ice cream.
These rare moments stand out because they are rare. They’re still cultural wins. We need to amplify those who have the courage to speak out, take the wins where we get them, and build on them.
