New Report Reveals Hunter Biden Has Fled the Country to Avoid Paying His Legal BIlls

Things are not looking great for the embattled former first son, Hunter Biden, as he has reportedly fled the United States, moving out of the country to avoid mounting and massive legal issues and because he can’t pay his legal bills, with his massive fall from grace coming just one year after his father left the White House.

Such was reportedly revealed in a legal filing made by his attorney, Barry Coburn. The filing was made, Fox News Digital reports, on April 6 of this year and is connected to a civil lawsuit regarding his unpaid legal fees. According to the filing, “Mr. Biden lives abroad.” It added, “He cannot pay his current lawyers.”

That court filing, Fox News Digital reports, was submitted to a Washington, D.C., civil court. The filing was made by Winston & Strawn LLP, the firm that represented him in some of his more infamous recent cases, most notably among which was his felony gun trial, which took place in Delaware over a handgun he purchased while addicted to drugs.

Unsurprisingly, the former first son did not pay his legal bills. In fact, the filing revealed, he has not paid a “substantial portion” of the fees he owes to Winston & Strawn LLP. That failure to pay is allegedly because he lacks the financial resources to do so and lacks any resources to hire professionals to help him through the present lawsuit regarding his unpaid fees.

Adding to his woes is that he lost the cases. Though later pardoned by his father, Hunter was found guilty of a slew of crimes, including the illegal purchase of a firearm, the handgun he purchased despite being addicted to crack cocaine at the time. He was also found guilty on nine tax charges, three of them felonies, connected to $1.4 million in evaded taxes between 2016 and 2019.

It is unclear where Hunter is living, other than that he is out of the country and beyond the reach of those to whom he is in debt, for now. However, the 56-year-old former first son is currently married to a woman who is originally from South Africa, and it is likely that he is living with her in that embattled and declining country.

In fact, he has previously indicated that he is living there. Speaking during an apperance on The Wide Awake Podcast back in November, a show that is based in South Africa, he said, “When all of the political and personal stuff came to an end in the last six months, I had always promised that we would spend some time over here.”

He added, “We’re trying to be between Cape Town and the States, go back and forth.” He then praised the beauty of Cape Town, saying, “I’ve fallen madly in love with Cape Town. You guys do not know how good you have it here. It’s the most beautiful city in the world.” He also added, hinting at his major problems, that he is “$17 million in debt … as it relates to my legal fees.”
