In great news for the MAGA movement, the RNC holds a substantial financial edge over the DNC heading into the 2026 midterms, according to 2025 year-end FEC filings. The RNC ended 2025 with approximately $95 million in cash on hand after raising $172 million, while the DNC had about $14 million in cash on hand but carried $17.5 million in debt from prior cycles after raising $145 million.
For context, this leaves the GOP with an ~$81 million cash advantage at the national level. Moving to congressional races, the NRCC closed with $117 million in cash, edging out the DCCC’s $115 million, and the NRSC had $19.3 million.
Laying out the case, Mike Marinella, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), noted, “House Republicans are running laps around Democrats because we have unstoppable momentum and a winning message. We’re charging full steam ahead to grow our majority in November.”
Likewise, while speaking at the Republican conference at its retreat at the Kennedy Center, President Donald Trump noted, “You gotta win the midterms. Because if we don’t win the midterms…they’ll find a reason to impeach me.”
Additionally, he noted, “I’ll get impeached. We don’t impeach them because you know why? They’re meaner than we are. We should have impeached Joe Biden for a hundred different things. They are mean and smart, but fortunately for you, they have horrible policy.”
Echoing these comments, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA.) issued a dire warning “If we lose the House majority, the radical left as you’ve already heard is going to impeach President Trump, They’re going to create absolute chaos. We cannot let that happen.”
Confirming these sentiments, Rep. April McClain-Delaney (D-MD) claimed, “These individual actions are impeachable offenses in their own right, but their ever-mounting cumulative impact on our country’s stability and health puts everything in a new light. I now believe that our Democratic Caucus must imminently consider impeachment proceedings.”

Drawing attention to the same issue in a viral social media post, one user noted, “BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: If Democrats win the 2026 midterms, they plan to impeach and remove both Trump and Vance as president and VP, then jail them for life, making the Democratic Speaker president. A Democrat could become president as soon as 2027 and Jail Trump and Vance for Life.”
Continuing, the same user alleged, “Top agenda items include impeaching and removing both President Trump and Vice President Vance over recent actions, including the ICE shooting and the Venezuela operation, and referring them to the DOJ for prosecution on multiple fronts.”
“Beyond Trump, the plan extends to investigating his entire cabinet. Key figures like Pam Bondi and Kash Patel could face scrutiny over Epstein files, immigration policies, and more. Referrals to DOJ for prosecution if evidence of wrongdoing emerges, aiming to “nullify” Trump-era EOs,” the same thread noted.
“This isn’t just talk; with midterms looming, Polymarket odds show Democrats at 80% to win the House, up sharply amid backlash to recent events. Republicans sit at 20%,” the thread concluded in a chilling comment on the serious stakes.
Democrats such as this former SNL “comedian” are demanding that ICE face arrests if Dems win the midterms, raising the stakes of the election season considerably:
