In the wake of a terrible video showing “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar telling her fellow Somalians about tactics that might help them avoid potential deportations, first-term Republican US Congressman from Texas Brandon Gill, son-in-law of Dinesh D’Souza, put Rep. Omar on blast and argued it would be better for America if she were deported to her home country of Somalia.
At issue was an incident sparked by President Donald Trump’s deportation campaign, led by Border Czar Tom Homan. In the incident at hand, Rep. Omar informed those listening, through responding to a reporter, that immigrants are not obligated to disclose key immigration details to police officers.
She said, making that comment, that the only thing that must be said is a certain phrase about lawyers and questions. As she put it in remarks to the reporter during the incident, “If ICE attempts to question you, you are not obligated to answer their questions. Just state that you are advised by a lawyer not to answer questions.”
She continued, noting the certain key details thought to be mandatory to disclose that are not, saying, “Disclosure of your name, immigration status, and the mode of entry is not mandatory. Learn the laws and prepare yourself and refrain from disclosing information that you prefer them not to know.”
It was to a video of Omar making those comments that Rep. Brandon Gill responded, saying that America would be better off if the far-left Squad member who is originally from Somalia were deported back to that country. He said, “America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia.”
In another post about the same video of Omar informing her fellow Somalis how to avoid answering the questions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, Rep. Gill noted that America needs a tougher immigration policy that would never have let her into the country in the first place. He said, “We should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country.” Watch Omar here:

Responding to Gill about the fact that Ilhan is in the country at all, one commenter said, “Heck no we should not have. And the refugee/asylum system has been gamed by tens of thousands more like her. We need to rundown every last person who defrauded the USA with bogus asylum claims and send them home.”
Another commenter questioned why the GOP-controlled Congress hasn’t taken a harder line with her, asking, “I do not understand why she cannot be expelled from Congress for her actions. When are Republicans going to get a backbone and start taking a stronger position with the squad?” In reply, another commenter gave a more realistic suggestion, saying, “She should be removed from her committee assignments for this term. They did it to Paul Gosar for tweeting a meme that was mean to AOC.”
A commenter on Rep. Gill’s other post asked if it was illegal for Omar to give such advice to illegal immigrants, asking, “It would definitely be better for our government if she wasn’t in Congress. Does it violate immigration or any laws for a sitting Congresswoman to give advice to illegal immigrants on how to avoid deportation and remain here illegally?”
