“National Media Goes Dark”: Senator Roasts Media for Not Reporting Biden’s Racist Gaffes [WATCH]

Speaking to Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity in an interview, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott spoke about how, in his view, the mainstream media refuses to report, or at least doesn’t tend to push, stories about Joe Biden’s seemingly racist gaffes, such as remarks he made about Barack Obama and black voters who vote for someone else.

As background, Biden, when speaking about the 2020 election shortly before it occurred, said, in a much-lampooned comment, “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” And, in 20017, when speaking about Barack Obama, he said, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s storybook, man.” Further, in 2012, he told a black audience that Romney and Republicans would “put y’all back in chains.”

Hannity, during the interview, broached the subject of those comments and Biden not being ripped for saying the, asking Scott, “How is it that Joe Biden — we played that tape of Joe Biden and the things he said: “You ain’t Black,” and, you know, ‘They’re gonna put you all back in chains.'” Sen. Scott, interjecting, said, “‘Back in chains.’ Disgusting comment.”

Hannity continuing, noted that the media would have shredded him for the things he’s said in the past were he on the other side, but, given his left leanings, his comments tend to be ignored, at least largely. He said, “The thing that was the most unbelievable to me, and if it were a Republican, it probably would be career killing, which is him partnering with his friend and mentor, a former Klansman, to stop the integration of public schools and busing.”

He continued, “Even Kamala Harris criticized him for that in that presidential primary debate in 2020. ‘I was that girl,’ I believe she said. Because he didn’t want public schools to — his words! — to be like ‘racial jungles.’ Am I the only one in the country that dares to bring this up and ask incredulously, ‘Why doesn’t anyone care about that?’”

Sen. Scott, responding, noted that the MSM hasn’t been covering those past comments of Biden’s. He said, “You know they’re not putting that on CNN. You know they’re not playing in on MSNBC. They are not sharing the truth of who Joe Biden has always been. We should run commercial after commercial with Kamala Harris telling Joe Biden what he did in the sixties.”

He continued, “And in addition to that, we should make sure that his words of the “jungle” — what a disgusting reflection on who he is. I will say this without any question: jobs and justice are moving more Black folks towards Donald Trump because we want fairness. And what we hear from Joe Biden over and over again is a pandering tour. But you’re 100% right to associate with a racist, a KKK member, and to celebrate it. You can only do that when all of the national media goes dark. They won’t cover any negative news on Joe Biden.”
