In a powerful video shared to X (formerly Twitter) and X post promoting it, former NASCAR star and Indy racer Danica Patrick ignored the left’s disdain and went full in support for former President Donald Trump, calling on American patriots who, like her, love the country to help make it great again.
The video that led to Patrick’s tweet was posted by conservative X account Real America’s Voice, which posted a video of her speaking about politics and captioned it, “I WILL NOT BE JUDGED FOR BEING A PROUD AMERICAN -@DanicaPatrick.” Patrick, responding to the tweet, said that she loves America and wants her fellow Americans to help her make it great again, saying, “I love america. Let’s make it great again. 🇺🇸”
Patrick, in the video that Real America’s Voice shared on X, a post that has since gotten over 5 million views on the platform, can be heard telling a roaring crowd of Trump supporters that she stands strong against criticism of her pro-Trump views, saying that she “will not be judged for wanting America to be great again.”
Continuing, Patrick described what precipitated her open willingness to stand up to the left, which went after her for going to a Turning Point USA event with Charlie Kirk. Beginning that story, she said, “My story starts in December of last year. I was going to the event in Phoenix called AmFest — has anyone heard of that, did anyone go? Charlie Kirk does an incredible job with Turning Point. Great human being. Great American.”
Building on that, she described why it was that she went, saying, “And the line-up of speakers was just so stellar, and I thought, ‘this looks fun. I’m local.’ So, I said to my dad, ‘Hey, dad, you want to go,’ because he’s been into politics since forever. And he said, ‘You know what. You should bring your sister.’”
She then added, “So, my sister flew out. We had a great time. I posted a bunch of pictures. And I’m not going to lie; red is my favorite color. I don’t wear it because I’m Republican I wear it because it is my favorite color it just works well. So the photos definitely had a color theme. And I posted the photos, and I said, ‘I love America; let’s make America great again.”
Getting to the left attacking her over her having attended the Turning Point event and posted pictures of it on her social media, she said, “People didn’t like that. People looked at me like I was some radical, right-wing, MAGA. Right? Like MAGA’s got this awful connotation with so many people.”
She then said that, far from scaring her off, the attacks just made her want to fight back more. She said, “And you know what? All it did was light a fire. I was like, I will not be judged for living in America, being an American, being a proud American, saying I love America, and wanting to make America great again. I won’t be judged for it. In fact, instead of quieting down, I’m going to get louder.”
