Rep. Nancy Mace was recently the victim of a violent assault on Capitol Hill perpetrated by whom she described as a pro-trans man. Mace has sparked backlash from progressives and transgender activists for introducing a bill that would effectively ban biological men from using the women’s restroom, locker rooms, and changing rooms in all government buildings.
Taking to her personal X account, Mace informed her followers on social media, “I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it’ll heal just fine. The Capitol police arrested the guy. Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO. #HoldTheLine.”
Mace’s report for harrowing incident sparked a massive response in the comments section. Popular conservative commentator Mindy Robinson wrote, “I see the “Loving and tolerant” Left has struck again……I can’t wait to see how the fake news spins this tmw, seeing how their new thing is hating on biological women and all. Stay strong and hold the line. 🇺🇸”
Similarly, right-wing influencer Paul A. Szypula wrote to Mace, “Glad you’re going to be alright, Nancy. Sadly, it’s not surprising this attack happened. There’s been such a disproportionality large amount of violence from the left. Trans violence is violence and needs to be fully prosecuted and legally punished. Stay strong Nancy! 💪🏼🇺🇸”
Another user said in support of Mace, “Nancy, it’s a shame you cannot walk the streets or national parks safely anymore…..not even in DC. I remember when we could walk the streets at night around the capitol and not having to look around my back or front like radar. This generation will never know what it is to feel really safe. I will offer my mass this morning for you that you can find peace and trust your fellow man again.”
Calling out leftist violence inflicted on conservatives, Insurrection Barbie wrote, ” A leftist tried to kill Steve Scalise. A leftist tried to kill Brett Kavanaugh. A leftist assaulted Rand Raul. A leftist tried to assassinate Donald J. Trump. Twice. A leftist violently assaulted Nancy Mace. Are you seeing a pattern here?” Responding to this post, Mace defiantly wrote, “Nobody will twist my arm (literally) or break me into bowing to leftwing extremists. #HoldTheLine”
Furthermore, Mace indicated that President-elect Donald Trump personally called her to ensure she was okay after the violent attack. “Just got off the phone with @Realdonaldtrump. Thank you, Mr. President, for checking in on me and for standing up for women. We cannot wait to see you back in the White House. #HoldTheLine,” she said.
A recent report from the office of Nancy Mace earlier this month detailed the congresswoman’s efforts with the Stop the Invasion of Women’s Space Act. “We introduced a resolution to stand up for women, and the Left lost their minds. But I’m not here to make them happy—I’m here to protect women and girls,” said Congresswoman Mace. “I’m doubling down with this bill. We’ve worked too hard for safe spaces, and we’re not going to allow them to be erased by unhinged, loud, and far-Left extremists. Men in women’s private spaces is not normal, and it never will be.” She added, “Let them come at us again. We’re not stopping. Women deserve leaders who will stand up for them, no matter the cost.”
