Morgan Wallen Makes Return to Concerts Following Vocal Cord Injury

Country music star Morgan Wallen has returned to his tour following a harrowing vocal cord injury and after the health scare that struck his young son. This comes after Wallen was forced to take six weeks off during his One Thing At A Time tour, causing dismay and heartbreak for the thousands of fans who were unable to attend much of his southeastern swing.

In an Instagram post, Wallen commemorated the return to touring by thanking Chicago for the amazing fan turnout at his events. Wallen said, “Chicago, I can still feel the energy today. Thank you for an incredible couple of nights in your city.”

Fans were quick to jump into the comments to offer their support with one saying, “Awesome concert! So glad I was able to be there for it!” Another fan said, “thanks for the great show and giving glory to our lord and savior Jesus Christ.”

Wallen announced that he would be taking a six-week vocal rest on May 9 in an Instagram post, in which the star said, “I got some bad news from my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center today. After taking ten days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida, and by the third one I felt terrible. So I went in and got scoped yesterday and they told me that I reinjured my vocal cords and that I have vocal cord trauma.”

He went on to explain exactly what the doctors had recommended to him as the best course of action to heal his voice, saying, “their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks. So that’s what I am going to do. They want me not to talk at all.”

As if things couldn’t get worse for fans who wanted to see a quick return to music for Wallen, just a week ago it was announced that his son, Indigo, was hospitalized after being attacked by a god. Indigo, 2, is the son of Morgan Wallen Wallen and his ex KT Smith.

The dog that bit Indigo was owned by KT Smith. It was a Great Pyrenees named Legend and has since been removed from the home and has found a new owner.

Wallen has been racking up wins this year by putting multiple songs atop the county charts and even causing an iced tea brand that he partnered with to sell out of product nearly immediately after the partnership was announced.

Speaking about the product, Wallen said, “Ryl Tea and I worked hard to capture the taste I remember from my childhood. It took time, but it was well worth the wait. I love this sweet tea and the fact that it’s healthy makes it all the better. This tea takes me right back to my Mamaw’s front porch on a hot summer’s day.”
