Minnesota Governor Tim Walz Gets More Bad News as He Gets Blamed for Allowing “Massive Fraud” to Occur

A whistleblower group of over 480 Minnesota DHS employees accused Gov. Tim Walz of being “100% responsible for massive fraud,” claiming they alerted him early to schemes involving Somali immigrants stealing billions in Medicaid and welfare, funneling funds to Al-Shabaab.

Reacting to the growing scandal, on Meet the Press, when pressed by Kristen Welker, Walz deflected: “I take responsibility for putting people in jail… [but]Minnesota is a generous state that attracts criminals,” blaming Trump for “demonizing” Somalis and failing to note his own complicity.

Laying the blame squarely at Walz’s feet, the whistleblower revealed the scope of the alleged corruption. “Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota. We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on, hoping for a partnership in stopping fraud, but no, we got the opposite response,” the post read.

Continuing unapologetically, the post noted, “Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers using monitoring, threats, repression, and did his best to discredit fraud reports. Instead of partnership, we got the full weight of retaliation by Tim Walz, certain DFL members and an indifferent mainstream media.”

Illustrating the scope of the issue, the same source revealed, “As staff, we firsthand witnessed and observed fraud happening, yet we were shut down, reassigned, and told to keep quiet. Sometimes more. Leadership did not want to appear to discriminate against certain communities and were unwilling to take action, such as stopping fraud, that would have an adverse impact on their image.”

In any case, after a fundamental question from Kristen Welker of Meet the Press, Walz began floundering. “Well, certainly, I take responsibility for putting people in jail. Governors don’t get to just talk theoretically. We have to solve problems. And I will note, it’s not just Somalis,” he whined.

Continuing his pathetic defence, the Democrat complained, “Minnesota is a generous state. Minnesota is a prosperous state, a well-run state that is AAA-bond rated, but that attracts criminals. Those people are going to jail. We’re doing everything we can, but to demonize an entire community on the actions of a few, it’s lazy.”

Attempting to regain ground, the governor alleged, “There’s a reason Minnesota ranks as the top, lowest childhood poverty, best place for children to live. People are taking advantage that they’re going to prison. That is totally disconnected from demonizing an entire group of people who came here fleeing civil war and created a vibrant community that makes Minnesota and this country better.”

Concluding his comments, Walz desperately sought to blame Trump, saying, “But that’s Donald Trump, deflect, demonize, come up with no solutions. He’s not going to help fix anything on fraud. My god, there’s a big difference between fraud and corruption, and corruption is something he knows about.”

When a clip of the interaction was posted to social media, users found his argument unconvincing. A post read, “Gov. Tim Walz says he takes no responsibility for the Somalis who’ve been robbing Americans of billions in Minnesota and funneling those dollars back to terr*rists in Somalia. You’ll notice he doesn’t deny it’s happening, of course. Walz is complicit.”
