Mike Rowe Dismantles Leftist Who Told Him To ‘Stay In His Lane’ On Gender Topics

Mike Rowe has become a champion for the working class man, with a career of highlighting the toughest blue-collar jobs in America on his hit show “Dirty Jobs.” Now, since he holds some conservative opinions and is a high-profile figure in the media, the left is attempting to tear him down.

In a post on Facebook, Rowe voiced his support for conservative news host Megyn Kelly and her take on women’s rights. Along with a link where Kelly threatens to march against companies like Apple that attempt to silence her due to what she calls a “pro-woman position,” Rowe wrote, “If it comes to that, I’d march with her. Would you?”

Well, it seems that many on the left would not. As Rowe shared on Facebook, one enraged journalist wrote, in part, “Nope, not for one second would I stand next to this farce of a woman. Mike, your desperate grabs at popularity are embarrassing. Stay in your lane, please. I thank you in advance for not inserting your bullcrap pandering for women in any other scenario that includes women.”

She continues on a rampage saying that while Rowe is supporting a woman, he certainly isn’t supporting all women. Apparently, “all women” is code for “just the women that I like.” Rowe, like a few others in the content creation business, chose to make his stand and never back down to the woke mob a long time ago.

Rowe went on to answer the hateful comment in an eloquent long-form post that is rare to find in online battles. If you have time, it is worth following the link to read his entire response. Rowe explained a fact that so few on the left understand. Agreeing with one opinion from a person is not the same thing as giving your complete support to that individual.

“You say that Megyn is not the “right” woman to follow, or offer my “complete support” to,” said Rowe. “I didn’t say that Megyn has my “complete support.” All I said was that I’d stand with her on the underlying issues; just as I would stand with you, if you were muzzled by a big tech company for publicly supporting the rights of women.”

Continuing on, Rowe closes out with one of the most epic dismantlings of an individual in Facebook history. And, in Mike Rowe’s style, he talks like an absolute gentleman. “To sum up, Jessica, this page is “my lane,” and you are a guest on it. To be sure, you’ve said some rude and unpersuasive things, but I would never ban you or block you for those reasons.”

He continued, “On the other hand, it’s worth remembering that this page is not really my property. This page belongs to Facebook, and you and I are both here with their permission. Tell me, if they were to close “my lane” because of this post, would you object? Would you join me in protest? Or would you celebrate my banishment?”

What an epic response from a true role model in our society. The clearness of thought and restraint are what have made Mike Rowe such a success in the TV industry, and he put those characteristics on full display in this post.
