Michelle Obama Seethes and Bemoans Trump’s Victory in Wacky New Year’s Statement, Gets Roasted in the Comments

In a wacky and weird New Year’s message posted to her social media accounts as 2024 drew to a close, former First Lady Michelle Obama bemoaned the re-election of former President Donald Trump in a post in which she complained about the past “difficult few months,” a clear reference to the November 5 election.

In the beginning part of her post, the former first lady said that people are feeling “anxious and uncertain” because of the referenced election, saying, ” I know it’s been a difficult few months for so many of us — and folks are feeling a little bit anxious and uncertain. But this holiday season, there are plenty of reasons to stay hopeful.”

Continuing, she then told people to take a look at what the Obama Foundation is doing heading into 2024. In that bit of self-promotion, she said, “So as 2024 comes to a close, I wanted to share some reflections on the work the @ObamaFoundation is doing to lift up the young changemakers around the world. Take a look.”

Commenters largely weren’t having it. One such commenter, for example, said that this was his first time ever voting conservative, but doing so felt necessary given the state of the country. He said, “I Voted for Trump. First time voting Conservative.” Another hammered her for not saying “Merry Christmas,” writing, “The comments 😂😆🤣 And it’s MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄❤️”

Still another chimed in and wrote that they had no anxiety given the election, as it means that the Obamas and Bidens won’t be in the White House any longer. That commenter said, “No anxiety. Glad you and Biden are out of our lives. Please stop your divisive posts. Good bye.” Similarly, another commenter wrote, “I’m not anxious, I’m excited, but the people in Epstein’s black book should be anxious and fearful. January 20th can’t come soon enough.”

Another hammered the seeming wastefulness of the Obama foundation in a city full of so many struggling people, saying, “You’re spending all that money on that building for the Obama foundation? People in Chicago need money to eat and live and that’s all you have to say? We are so happy that Trump is going to be our next president Trump 2024.🇺🇸 God bless America.”

Michelle isn’t the only Obama to bemoan the Trump electoral victory recently. Barack did so as well in a recent speech, saying, “Pluralism depends on everyone following a certain set of rules. What happens when the other side has repeatedly and abundantly made clear they are not interested in playing by the rules?”

Continuing, he ignored his own party’s lawfare assaults on Trump and said, “There are going to be times potentially when one side tries to stack the deck and lock in [pause] a permanent grip on power.” He added, “Either by actively suppressing votes, or politicizing the Armed Forces, or using the judiciary, criminal justice system to go after opponents.”

Then, returning again to his “pluralism” talking point, saying a “line has been crossed.” He said, “And pluralism does not call for us to just stand back and say, ‘well, I’m not sure that’s OK,’ In those circumstances, a line has been crossed, and we have to stand firm and speak out and organize.” Watch him here:
