Anthony Fauci took to the microphone for perhaps the final time, and it was everything you would have imagined – and just as awful. Karine Jean-Pierre brought cookies for everyone, she praised Fauci as “a source of information and facts,” Fauci recommended masks and boosters, and everyone in the room ignored that the man described by Ron DeSantis as a “little elf” was so monstrously wrong about everything these past few years.
Almost everyone, that is.
After KJP took a run at gaslighting the press room and American public about just how good Fauci was at his job, and how noble his policy prescriptions were, and how he never flip flipped on things like masks or lockdowns or school closures, one brave soul in the room dared cut through the noise to actually get some answers.
He didn’t care that Fauci was getting cookies. He cared that as a journalist he asked tough questions and got real answers. That, of course, isn’t what Democrats do. Fauci, whose tongue twisted in a thousand directions every time he got grilled by Senator Ran Paul, and Jean-Pierre, who glances desperately at her scripted notes when adults in the room start inquiring on real issues, threw a temper tantrum to derail the whole process.
Take a look as an unnamed reporter asks Fauci about the origins of the pandemic and how the pathetic administration handled it:

What on earth was that? “You’re being disrespectful to your colleagues and you’re being disrespectful to our guest.” It’s as if she’s chiding a toddler for not speaking when spoken to at the dinner table. Aside from just sound stupid as she puts on an obviously fake bravado, it’s just insulting.
What’s more, she ends her maddeningly obnoxious rant by telling the reporter “she’s done with him” while wildly gesticulating because he dared ask a question that hit a little too close to home.
If there was nothing to hide, it seems reasonable enough to assume they wouldn’t go out of their way to hide everything. And, if they didn’t really know, then they’d just say that. Instead, here is a straightforward question that rightfully deserves some answers given all of the breadcrumbs we’ve picked up, not to mention the turmoil the world endured, but rather than be honest KJP throws an absolute tirade.
Not a good look.
So instead of answering real questions, Fauci did what Fauci does, and recommended wearing a mask (and saying people look terrific in them), get a test before seeing relatives on Thanksgiving, and getting another booster. Because if the 4th one didn’t work the 5th one definitely will.
Here was Fauci on what he lamented might be his final message to everyone:
“My message — and my final message, maybe the final message I give you from this podium — is that please, for your own safety, for that of your family, get your updated COVID-19 shot as soon as you’re eligible to protect yourself, your family, and your community.”
Honestly, the only thing he laments is the relinquishment of unchecked power.
There’s a reason Clay Travis said he hated this “little elf” more than anyone else in politics.

Now the GOP needs to convene some real committees and start getting to the truth.
