The latest company to sponsor transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney is the makeup company Maybelline. The company faces backlash from social media users calling for boycotts similar to the fallout with Bud Light.
Mulvaney recently posted a video of himself applying makeup with the hashtag #Maybellinepartner. Conservative gender activist Oli London tweeted the video with the caption, “Maybe he’s born with it, maybe it’s Maybelline. The new face of Maybelline, ladies!”

The video shown here is allegedly the 365th day of Mulvaney’s identification as a “girl.” In the video’s caption, Mulvaney said, “Getting glam for my Day 365 show with @maybelline #maybelline partner.” Social media users voiced their anger with another company ignoring their target audience. Under the comment section of Oli’s tweet of the video, many users weighed in on the controversy.
One account titled, “Lets just stop the BS!!” said, This is not how real women act! It’s degrading to them. Mocks their intelligence. I’ve yet to meet a real woman who acts like a child while putting on makeup. This is disgraceful.”
Another user added, “The craziest thing about all of this, we do not act like this when we put on our makeup, workout and honestly most of us don’t have time for a six pack of bud light while taking a bubble bath, nor do we have princess bedrooms. We are usually taking care of children, our homes and working. This is not a representation of women at all. WTF”
One user complimented London’s activism against the transgender movement stating, “Oli, I saw your interview on CBN today. TY for speaking out against this horrific agenda. So glad you have found Christ and the true love He brings to all us believers. Rock on.”
One Twitter user called into question how these companies who face these boycotts can remain profitable, “I heard hedge funds were helping these companies from losing ton of $$ from boycotts. Anyone else heard? For the life of me I cannot understand feminists that I know KNOW BETTER.” Oli London responded, Yes all these companies have same hedge funds/ investors- Black Rock which push the Corporate Equality Index and push these companies to go woke. X.”
Dr. Jordan Peterson called for a boycott of Maybelline and other companies that have extended brand sponsorships to Mulvaney. Peterson tweeted, Obviously time to welcome @Maybelline to the boycott club along with @Disney @Nike @Budweiser.”

It remains to be seen if this boycott will take off like the Bud Light backlash. Bud Light has seen a significant sales decline since its brand deal with Mulvaney. The latest data shows Bud Light sales have fallen 17 percent while volume dropped 21 percent. The American Tribune wrote:
According to beer industry reports, sales of Bud Light beer have dropped by a whopping 17 percent in dollars and over 20 percent in volume since Mulvaney announced the Bud Light-Dylan Mulvaney partnership. As a mental image of that, it means that Bud Light is now only selling only four bottles for every five that it used to sell.
If this boycott gains traction it will be another clear message companies should respect their consumer bases.
