For young football fans, this coming season will be the first in which no team features legendary quarterback Tom Brady on the roster. Or will it? A new video released by Mr. Beast on YouTube features Tom Brady launching a football into the sky to send a drone cratering toward the ground. Afterward, Brady teased fans by admitting that there still be a chance that he would suit up in the NFL again one day.
The challenge came during a Mr. Beast video where he and his crew ranked various yachts and mega-yachts. Other celebrities, such as Pete Davidson of SNL fame, made cameos in the video, but Tom Brady’s entrance clearly held a different gravity than the guests before him.
As the Mr. Beast team began to involve Brady in the fun and games, the inevitable happened. He found a football. With a drone flying in the air, the only logical thing left to do was challenge Brady to knock it out of the sky. Brady did precisely that on the first try, nonetheless.
Brady’s daughter Vivian could be heard before the toss telling her father that he would likely miss the throw. She may be too young to understand the intense competitiveness that her father is known for, or she knew exactly what she was doing and gave the ultimate pep talk to the greatest of all time. She erupted in laughter as her father became a surface-to-air missile, sinking the drone into the ocean.

This is where the video turned from a children’s lifestyle vlog to a fantasy for any NFL General Manager who needs a quarterback. Before his throw, the camera cuts back to Brady, who says, “If I hit the drone on the first try, maybe I should come out of retirement.” And, of course, he hit the drone on the first try. So, is he coming back to the league? Probably not. But there is certainly at least the hope that Brady feels some life in that arm and is ready to give it another go.
There are conflicts that would make it difficult for Brady to get back into a uniform. For one, he inked an incredibly lucrative deal to become an analyst for Fox Sports. According to multiple reports, that deal is going to earn him $375 million. It’s going to be difficult to find a reason to postpone that kind of money any longer than he already has.
With Tom Brady, anything seems possible at this point. Could he once again reach into the fountain of youth and earn one lucky franchise a Super Bowl Trophy? Probably. But the odds are strongly stacked against that, as Brady seeks to round out his life and focus on being a father and businessman in his mid-forties.
