Posting on Truth Social and sounding off on the situation in Colorado in a fiery post on Truth Social that came on Wednesday, December 31, the last day of 2025, President Donald Trump went scorched earth on Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) and Mesa County District Attorney Dan Rubinstein.
In the post, Trump called Rubinstein a “RINO” and declared that both he and the woke governor of Colorado should “rot in hell” for their incarceration of former election clerk Tina Peters, who exposed what she alleged was voter fraud, and was viciously attacked in a lawfare campaign for it.
Beginning that post, the president wrote, “God Bless Tina Peters, who is now, for two years out of nine, sitting in a Colorado Maximum Security Prison, at the age of 73, and sick, for the “crime” of trying to stop the massive voter fraud that goes on in her State (where people are leaving in record numbers!).”
Then, exposing and slamming Rubinstein as a “RINO”, the president said, “Hard to wish her a Happy New Year, but to the Scumbag Governor, and the disgusting “Republican” (RINO!) DA, who did this to her (nothing happens to the Dems and their phony Mail In Ballot System that makes it impossible for a Republican to win an otherwise very winnable State!), I wish them only the worst. May they rot in Hell. FREE TINA PETERS!”
Attacking the Colorado governor in another post on the same day, the president snapped, “California and Colorado are two of the TOP OUTBOUND STATES IN 2025 (United Van Lines!) – In other words, PEOPLE LEAVING!!! That’s what bad governors do to even places blessed with beautiful surrounds and climate. President DJT”
And, in another post on Voter ID, he said, “The Democrats are a bunch of cheaters and thieves that never want to do what’s good for America. As an example, they refuse to even consider Voter Identification. Why??? Because they want to cheat, and the Republicans should not put up with this, and many other such things, any longer!!!”
President Trump has pardoned Tina Peters. Announcing as much in a post in early December of 2025, he sounded off on the left and how it prosecuted those who tried to expose and stop election fraud. Beginning that post, he wrote, “For years, Democrats ignored Violent and Vicious Crime of all shapes, sizes, colors, and types. Violent Criminals who should have been locked up were allowed to attack again. Democrats were also far too happy to let in the worst from the worst countries so they could rip off American Taxpayers. Democrats only think there is one crime – Not voting for them!”

He continued, “Instead of protecting Americans and their Tax Dollars, Democrats chose instead to prosecute anyone they can find that wanted Safe and Secure Elections. Democrats have been relentless in their targeting of TINA PETERS, a Patriot who simply wanted to make sure that our Elections were Fair and Honest.”
He then noted that he is pardoning her, saying, “Tina is sitting in a Colorado prison for the “crime” of demanding Honest Elections. Today I am granting Tina a full Pardon for her attempts to expose Voter Fraud in the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!” However, presidential pardons cannot overturn state convictions, so Peters is still fighting Rubinstein.
