A hilarious scene broke out in a Wisconsin restaurant when a deer darted into the diner to enjoy a nice lunch of his own while the patrons ate at the dining tables. This funny scene was caught on camera and shared with the world as stunned customers and employees shared their eating experience with a part of the local wildlife.
In the morning hours of Tuesday, Beloit Noodles & Company found themselves serving a diverse crowd of hungry customers. According to the restaurant, the lunch rush was getting underway when the deer jumped through a window and gave himself a prime opportunity to smell the noodles and meatballs in the establishment.
The buck’s time in the store was short-lived, as he apparently got bored of the food and left after roughly a minute in the kitchen. It is a hilarious sight to see a wild animal turning down the feast of a lifetime to go back outside and return to his normal foraging diet.
According to general manager Patti Pickering, the store was experiencing a massive rush, with 65 kids stopping by to grab food during an early trick-or-treating event. Speaking to WMTV, Pickering said, “He came into the dining room, the kids had exited out the side doors and he came through the kitchen and then out the back door.”
The buck came into the store, smashing through a front window and giving the guests a massive scare. At the end of his journey, the deer just strolled on out of the back door as if he had done nothing out of the ordinary at all. It is reminiscent of an action movie hero calmly walking away as a massive fireball and explosion detonates behind them.
Beloit Noodles & Company is now offering a couple of hilarious specials to embrace the surprise entrance of their antlered guest. One such special is the “2 Buck Mac & Cheese” on Wednesdays. the promotion is made to “save some doe,” by paying just a measly two dollars for a helping of the restaurant’s Mac and cheese.
Pickering also spoke to Fox 47 and offered a different insight into what the buck was up to in the dining room. She comedically said, “He missed an entire pan of meatballs I had just pulled out of the oven, he could’ve had a snack.”
Speaking about the “scary” experience, Pickering talked about how she leaped into action to evacuate the young noodle connoisseurs quickly and safely. She said, “When the kids started screaming, I knew it was my job to get everybody out and take care of everybody, so they got out safe.”
Now, everyone that was in that restaurant on Tuesday at lunchtime has a story that they will never forget. They will probably be telling their grandchildren about that time they were sitting an enjoying a nice calm lunch before a mastic buck used its antlers to bash through the dining room window and put on a quick minute-long display to anyone inside.
