After years of being treated horribly by the mainstream media, former and incoming First Lady Melania Trump is finally receiving some positive news coverage. Being President-elect Donald Trump’s wife has brought Melania enormous criticism, but she is now being recognized as one of America’s most powerful women.
In the Daily Mail’s annual report on America’s most powerful individuals, Melania was recognized among the influential women who would serve in the second Trump administration and hopefully get America back on the right track. The outlet wrote about Melania, “Incoming First Lady Melania has already signaled that she will play a more pivotal role in her husband’s second administration.”
The first lady was mentioned alongside Susan Wiles, who will be the first female White House chief of staff, North Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as Homeland Secretary, former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi, who is nominated for U.S. attorney general, and former WWE CEO Linda McMahon, who was tapped to lead the Department of Education.
In other appearances of Melania in the media, The American Tribune reported on the first lady sitting down for a recent interview with Fox News. She was asked by co-host Steve Doocy, “What we have seen since he was elected and over the last couple of months, is that calmness and maybe gratitude, or whatever it is. But something else we’ve seen is he seemed so kind of happy and loose because last night at the Patriot Awards, I think we got a clip … he was doing the Trump dance. And I’m sure, I’m sure you’ve seen that evolve … How do you describe your husband’s dance moves?”
Melania responded, “Oh, this is a very special and unique dance.” She continued, “And I think a lot of people are copying it, and everybody has had fun with it.” The co-host inquired if Melania had partaken in the dance, “Is this how you dance?” She immediately responded, “No.” She was asked again, “Did you give him any tips?” In a joking but also firm manner, Melania confidently responded, “No,” for the second time. “Have you ever done the Trump dance? You are, Mrs. Trump,” Melania was asked once more, to which she said, “I did not.”
Melania addressed a wide variety of topics throughout the interview, such as the family’s preparations to return to the White House. She explained the family is quite busy preparing for the transition in January. “It’s incredible. And we are very, very busy. The life is the pace of it, the transition team. I’m establishing my transition team, and also working on my office, putting my office together, and also, you know, organizing the residence and packing. And it’s incredible what you need to do when in that situation,” she said.
The incoming first lady added, “He brought in so many young people he knows his generation, because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore. They’re all on the tablets, they’re on the phones and all of these podcasts and streamers. He was very vocal, and he gave advice to his father. And was incredible how he brought in a success, because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact and to talk to.”
