The Democratic Party just received more troubling news after a renowned liberal pollster revealed that the “blue wall” of Democratic stronghold states appears to be leaning toward former President Donald Trump as the election fast approaches. Doug Schoen, a respected Democratic pollster and strategist, explained that Vice President Kamala Harris’ support in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan is “eroding.”
According to Schoen, Democrats are facing “disorientation on the ground” in crucial swing states such as Pennsylvania and Michigan, which will play an outsized role in the overall outcome of the election. The pollster explained that this is a “very bad sign” for the Harris-Walz campaign, even claiming his sources from within the Democratic party are confirming this.
During a recent appearance on Fox News, Schoen stated, “The so-called blue wall of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania is eroding for the Democrats.” He continued, “There is a level of disorganization on the ground, and incoherence, vis-a-vis the messaging that is clear, and what I’m picking up is that the Harris campaign really doesn’t have a closing message or strategy as we, I think, saw in Bret Baier’s interview with Kamala Harris.”
The strategist further expounded on the lack of clear and coherent messaging from the Kamala Harris campaign, as she has been unable to articulate what she would do differently than President Joe Biden given that she has been second-in-command for several years. Schoen explained to Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he does believe Harris will outline a clear plan.
Schoen continued, “And there is not a clear sense as to what she’s going to do different than Joe Biden, which, as you point out, close to 60% of America, has made them feel worse off. She hasn’t articulated a coherent plan, and it’s, frankly, perfectly logical that she would say, different times, different circumstances, different plan. Here’s what I’m doing, here’s what Trump’s doing. Vote for me. She hasn’t done it, and I don’t have a sense, Laura, that she’s going to.”
Continuing to address Vice President Harris’ interview with Fox News reporter Bret Baier, Schoen suggested that the intention to reach undecided swing voters may have completely backfired and hurt her campaign. Schoen noted that Harris demonstrated an inability to answer questions clearly and communicate her agenda.
“I don’t think it helped at all. I think she felt she’d reach some swing voters. But to me, the absence of clear answers the real sense of, you know, confusion, to perfectly logical questions that Bret asked to me suggest that it underscored all the issues and concerns. The view undecided swing voters have don’t think it helped a bit helped a bit, and it may well hurt her,” he said.
Posting about the comments from Schoen on X, Legal Insurrection wrote, “Doug Schoen, a longtime Democratic pollster, just warned that Kamala Harris is losing her grip on the key battleground states that make up the “blue wall.” Is Harris running out of time to turn it around?” Another user commented, “I sure hope he’s right.”
