In an utterly absurd segment of “Morning Joe” with co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, a show formerly aired by MSNBC and now by MS NOW, Joe Scarborough looked as if he was brought to tears by the fact that President Trump has once again been vindicated, as there was nothing “damning” about him in the Epstein files.
As background, the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) has started releasing the Epstein files, and as part of that release, it has become increasingly evident that there is nothing linking the president to Jeffrey Epstein’s wrongdoing, as supporters of the president have long maintained. Such was admitted by the New York Times after an exhaustive review of the released information, and then by Scarborough.
Doing so during the “Morning Joe” broadcast, Scarborough noted that there has long been reporting for some time that Trump isn’t on Epstein’s list, saying, “One of the great mysteries to me and a lot of other people is we’ve had reporting for some time [that] Donald Trump is not on Epstein’s list.”
Continuing, Scarborough noted that there doesn’t appear to be anything in the files that is “damning” about President Trump, saying, “There’s nothing in there that’s really damning about Donald Trump. And as Susie Wiles says, Not damning about Donald Trump, according to the chief, or Bill Clinton.”
He then insisted that Trump has tried to block the files, saying, “So one of the great mysteries all along in this not been like, what’s Donald Trump hiding? What did he do? Why, if he’s not in these files, which all the reporting says he’s not, why is he so obsessed on blocking access to the files? Is he trying to protect somebody?”
Chiming in, Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna insisted that he, MTG, and Rep. Thomas Massie had known the president wasn’t implicated and used that to get him to release the files, saying, “Joe, you got to the actual heart of the question, and it’s actually not been reported. One of the reasons Marjorie Taylor Greene got on board with Massi and my’s effort, is she fundamentally believed that Trump was not implicated. And she would call the president and say, ‘Look, just get these out. I don’t know why you’re not getting it out.'”
Continuing on that point by commenting on the Epstein survivors, Rep. Khanna said, “And she would tell Massie and me, of course, he’s going to come around. And every press conference we had, we never made it about Donald Trump. We made it about the survivors. The survivors pleaded with Donald Trump. ‘You can be a hero. No previous president has done this. Release the files.'”

Concluding, he questioned, “And what people are asking, and frankly, even I’m asking, is, what are they hiding? Why is it that they’re not releasing the draft 60 count indictment when they only charged Epstein with two counts? Why aren’t they releasing the 82 page prosecution memo of all the implications he had with rich and powerful folks? Why are they protecting this Epstein class, and why aren’t they releasing the FBI interviews every time they do one of these things…?”

Conservative accounts quickly took Scarborough’s admission about Trump at the beginning of the clip and ran with it. For example, the “Defiant Ls” X account posted the clip and said, “Joe Scarborough: ‘Donald Trump is not on Epstein’s list. There’s nothing in there that’s really damning about Donald Trump.'” Chiming in with a quote tweet, Catturd said, “He looks like he’s about to cry lol.”
Chiming in on the comments section, other conservatives called out Scarborough and those involved as well. For example, The American Tribune’s Jason Robertson wrote, “Joe does make kind of an important point here,(I know I was shocked too)…Its unlikely Trump was a client….but we know there are clients and blackmail materials….why doesn’t that get exposed My guess is the intelligence community was in on it,(both US and other countries), and thats why its buried”
