You Won’t Believe How Many Woke Celebrities Elon Musk Has Scared Off Twitter

Woke celebrities are ditching their Twitter accounts following Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.

Musk has made it very clear that he will protect freedom of speech on the platform and reverse much of the censorship users have faced.

The left has been vehemently opposed to Elon’s control of Twitter from the beginning, but the real catalyst for the mass exodus was Musk’s decision to reinstate Donald Trump.

In the true spirit of democracy, Elon consulted the user base on Twitter regarding the decision around Trump’s account.

The constituents spoke and, by a narrow margin, the popular opinion was to allow the former president back on the platform.

Elon tweeted under the poll, “Vox Populi, Vox Dei”, which translates from Latin “the voice of the people is the voice of God”.

Ironically, these triggered lefties are the very people who consider themselves advocates of “democracy”.

This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for many self-righteous leftist celebrities.  Their delicate safe space could now be infiltrated not by only people they disagree with, but the big bad orange man himself.

Business Insider compiled a list of various celebrities who have decided to quit Twitter following Elon Musk’s takeover.

It appears screen writer-producer, and showrunner Shonda Rhimes started the trend when she tweeted at the end of October, “Not hanging around for whatever Elon has planned. Bye.”

Since then, many celebrities, some being big names and others much less relevant, have followed in her footsteps.

Here is the list compiled so far:

    • Sara Bareilles
    • Ken Olin
    • Toni Braxton
    • Téa Leoni
    • Brian Koppelman
    • Alex Winter
    • Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger
    • Whoopi Goldberg
    • Gigi Hadid
    • Amber Heard
    • Erik Larsen
    • Laura Benanti
    • Mick Foley
    • Jenny Slate
    • Playbill
    • Jack White
    • Trent Reznor
    • David Simon

    • Liz Phair
    • David Dastmalchian

Preceding their departure, many of these self-important figures couldn’t help but make a dramatic, virtue-signaling statement that checked off all the liberal talking points (racism, antisemitism, hate speech, etc.).

As to be expected, their keyboard tantrums have changed absolutely nothing.

However, Trump has yet to tweet on his newly reactivated account.  Apparently, he has an exclusive contract with his platform, Truth Social, that dictates his allowed behavior on his other social media accounts.

Although, Trump isn’t the only prominent right-wing account Elon has unbanned.  The billionaire has unbanned many others who received suspensions over “misinformation” or misgendering other users.

These accounts include Marjorie Taylor Greene, Project Veritas, James Lindsay, Andrew Tate, The Babylon Bee, Jordan Peterson, Sargon of Akkad, Megan Murphy, and others.

These enraged left wing-figures claim they are fighting for “freedom” and “democracy”, but they quickly show their true colors when someone or an idea they disagree with has a platform.

They will quickly brand something they don’t like as dangerous “hate speech” that threatens their precious safe space.  They also might label it “misinformation” and call in the cavalry of fact-checkers.

It’s all about controlling the narrative so they can determine what is true and false and cancel opposing thoughts.
