Dave “The Closer” Chappelle has found himself, yet again, on the receiving end of panicked wailing from the far left.
Chappelle has joined a growing number of other comedians, like Tim Allen and Rob Schneider, who have used their jokes to push back against crazy liberal agendas.
Chappelle caused quite a stir at Netflix over the past year when he made jokes at the expense of trans people in his special “The Closer” in 2021.
Now, with Chappelle set to host SNL this week, all hell is breaking loose in the Saturday Night Live writer’s room.
A source spoke to Page Six and confirmed rumors that writers would not be working on this show due to the Dave Chappelle drama.
They’re (the writers) not going to do the show, but none of the actors are boycotting.
Let’s get this out of the way before we go any further.
SNL’s current gang of writers does not need to work when Dave Chappelle is hosting.
With SNL failing miserably to provide comedy that all Americans can enjoy, it may be best that they leave the funny business to someone who is actually funny.
The showrunners seem to have gotten that right.
The actors also clearly understand that a show run by Dave Chappelle has the opportunity to be a smashing success, so they are all remaining on board this week. Smart move by them.
Chappelle was working on the show 30 Rock and met with the writers of that show on Tuesday with no issue.
His rep also spoke to Page Six about that experience.
The room was full of writers. They all pitched ideas and they seemed very excited about it.
Now Twitter users on the left are freaking out about the prospect of Dave Chappelle being on TV.
As with all other woke nonsense, once the first domino falls, all the other wokies crawl out from under the floor to voice their evermore insane opinions in the form of Tweets.
I dont think anyone hates Chappelle – but he’s a snowflake conservative who has to feel like everyone is against him in order to justify why he’s having such a tantrum over other people existing.
I love SNL. I’ve been a fan all my life. But having Dave Chapelle on as host is not the move. You have your first non-binary cast member ever and then you book an proud and open transphobe.
I, for one, am excited that Chappelle is hosting. I might actually watch SNL this week.
That is something that I haven’t said in years, maybe ever.
The mental picture of a bunch of professional comedy writers cowering in the corner of a meeting room, afraid of one of the greatest comedians of this generation due to his opinion on trans people, is easily funnier than the best joke that the group has ever produced.
But what else should we expect? If they lose their ideology then they have nothing left. If they can no longer find marginalized groups to defend, they would have to wander aimlessly to find a new minority or sexuality to defend with their careers.
Anyway, what a wonderful day for SNL.
