Liz Cheney Goes Berserk after Trump Accuses Her of Treason

After the president savaged Liz Cheney on Truth Social, the failed anti-Trump politician had a massive online meltdown. Reacting to a post where Trump accused her of treason, Cheney slandered the president by saying he was unstable and “not fit for office.”

For context, Liz Cheney, the daughter of infamous former VP Dick Cheney, has been a vocal critic of Trump and his administration. Despite being a self-proclaimed conservative, she endorsed and campaigned for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election and contributed to the January 6 witch hunt.

Kicking off the drama, the president reposted a meme on Truth Social that was critical of Cheney. On June  24, 2024, he reposted a picture with the caption “ELIZABETH LYNNE CHENEY IS GUILTY OF TREASON, RETRUTH IF YOU WANT TELEVISED MILITARY TRIBUNALS.”

Responding to Trump’s attack, Cheney had a massive meltdown on social media. She sarcastically posted, “Donald – This is the type of thing that demonstrates yet again that you are not a stable adult—and are not fit for office.”

This is far from the first clash between Cheney and the president. As we recently reported, in a presidential memo released on March 22, 2025, President Trump revoked security clearances from several prominent politicians, including Cheney. The document began with list of those who would lose their clearance, naming: “Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Cheney, Kamala Harris, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family.”

Continuing, President Trump explained that active measures would be taken to block these deep state actors from accessing state secrets. He declared, “I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and to immediately rescind their access to classified information.”

Adding another dimension to Cheney’s betrayal of her conservative values, she played a vital role in the controversial January 6 committee. Cheney took swipes at Trump after he blasted her in a hilarious statement. Trump said, “Liz Cheney, she’s a lunatic, and she lost by the greatest margin in the history of a politician running for Congress, like 40 points. The reason it was the greatest is because anybody losing that badly is going to drop out, but she’s a nut job. She doesn’t drop out. You know, she just keeps chugging forward, and she lost by almost 40 points. That’s the biggest number anybody’s ever lost by.”

Unable to control her rage, Cheney said, “Trump’s remarks in the Capitol Visitor Center today were a reminder that neither lies nor the liar who tells them get better with age. The Select Committee evidence is available on multiple websites, and, as a criminal defendant, Donald Trump has had access to all the transcripts for years.”

Concluding her slanderous remarks, she said, “Remember Trump’s character: He sat in his dining room watching on television as his supporters attacked our Capitol and brutally assaulted law enforcement. For hours, he refused to instruct the mob to leave. The truth will never change.”
