UPDATE: LIsa Marie has, sadly, passed away. Her mother, Priscilla Presely, gave a statement to People on the matter, saying “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”Ā

Lisa Marie was 54 years old at the time of her death. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on Feb. 1, 1968 and her parents divorced in 1973. Her father, Elvis, died in 1977, which made, People reports, “9-year-old Lisa Marie the joint heir to his estate alongside grandfather Vernon Presley and great-grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley. Following their respective deaths in 1979 and 1980, she became the sole heir and also inherited her father’s Graceland residence.”

Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley has been rushed to the hospital in the Los Angeles area by medical authorities on Thursday night after sheriff’s deputies responded to a “not breathing” call.

Fox News Digital, reporting on the developing situation, added that:

Lieutenant Zeko, of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department, confirmed sheriffs responded to a call in Calabasas “for a female adult who was not breathing, and the fire department began rendering aid to the patient and they transported her to a local hospital.”

Her mother, Priscilla Presley, was seen walking into the emergency room shortly after Presley arrived at the medical center

Priscilla Presley posted about the situation on Twitter, saying “My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time.”

Responding, innumerable people posted messages of support and told Priscilla that they were praying for her and Lisa Marie. One commenter, for example, said “My heart and prayers go out to Lisa Maria for her recovery in the time to come šŸ¤ I’m sending all my love to you, your family and of course #LisaMariePresley šŸ™šŸ»” Another noted that she seemed “off” at the Golden Globes, saying “She seemed a bit off at the Golden Globes, sending my best for a full recovery. Thank you for the update.”

Priscilla and Lisa Marie were at the Golden Globes because of the recent film about Elvis Presley that came out, called “Elvis.” Actor Austin Butler, who portrayed the King of Rock ‘n Roll in “Elvis,” received a Golden Globe for his performance in the film.
