Liberal Restaurant Owner Kicks Out Fox News Personality for His Conservative Beliefs

Given that Miami is a red city in a red state, you might think that a normal conservative could at least find a meal there without getting kicked out of the place for expressing conservative views. You’d think that, but you’d apparently be incorrect, as Fox News channel analyst Gianno Caldwell was kicked out of a restaurant in Miami by a leftist Karen for expressing his conservative views when chatting with friends.

That restaurant was Paradis Books and Bread, and it even highlighted that it did so on Instagram, posting that Gianno and his dining group was kicked out of the restaurant because “their behavior and their words made other folks in the space as well as the one of us working very uncomfortable.”

Gianno gave a very different version of events when posting about the incident on Twitter, saying that his group had been kicked out because their political opinions were different than those of the owner:

I can’t believe what just happened. I met up with friends for breakfast at Paradis Books and Bread in North Miami & while we were having discussions about politics we were told by the owner that we were not welcomed there because we aren’t politically aligned. Outrageous.

Commenting ono his tweet, one person suggested that political speech be protected under the Civil Rights Act to prevent the continued discrimination against conservatives, saying “Outrageous! There needs to be a Civil Rights addendum passed outlawing discrimination based on political affiliation. Such a law can’t be passed immediately bec of Biden Admin & Senate, but House should pass a bill and get on record those in Congress voting against it.”

Gianno also spoke about the incident on Fox and Friends, saying “This situation reminds me of something that MLK said in 1963, a very simple truth. He said, ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ And what I experienced yesterday, me and some of my neighbors, who I’m just getting to know, was an injustice. It was a grave injustice.”

He also said, during that discussion on Fox and Friends, that he was given the boot from the restaurant after saying that he was conservative, saying:

“They said, ‘Are you a conservative?’ I said, ‘Yes. In fact, I have a book called “Taken for Granted: How Conservatism Can Win Back the Americans That Liberalism Failed.” You should get the book.’

“I talked to them about my brother. I was on Capitol Hill just the other week talking to members of Congress about violent crime in America and trying to get justice for my brother and other victims of violent crime.

“This was so problematic to this lady that she told me that I needed to get out of her establishment. If this was not the Jim Crow South, I couldn’t tell how much of a difference.

“This lady stared me down the entire time that I was in a restaurant. There’s a target on the backs of people who happen to be Black, who happen to be conservative, and it needs to come to an end.“
