“Let Kids Be Kids”: Hollywood Star Kevin Sorbo Bashes Media Bias Against Masculinity

Actor and writer Kevin Sorbo spoke about his upcoming book “The Test of Lionhood” in an interview in which he gave an impassioned plea for society to quit tearing down men and decrying the virtues of masculinity. The new children’s book is one that Sorbo hopes to see start a new movement in discussing the virtues of manhood to young boys and womanhood to young girls.

Brave Books, the publisher of the story, impressed Sorbo greatly with their willingness to publish a story about gender at a time when anything against the left’s narrative is attacked by the woke mob. Sorbo then dove into an extraordinary explanation of why a book like his is necessary in today’s time.

In his interview with Fox News Digital, Sorbo said, “The attack today on masculinity today is a call for us to stay vigilant right now, given what Hollywood’s been doing to the movies and television. You know, Walt Disney said way back in the ‘50s that movies and TV will certainly influence our youth — and you see what’s been going on in the last 10 to 15 years in the world and what’s going on in mainstream media, in movies, TV — and the messages that they keep putting out.”

Sorbo continued with a soundbite that defined the whole interview, “I’m just hoping that people wake up a little bit and realize, Let’s let boys be boys and let girls be girls. And let’s stop this whole thing about chopping down the men in the world.”

Sorbo also touched on the crime epidemic that is overrunning large American cities. He said, “Look at the crime rates right now. We’ve been scrapping our police forces, telling them that they can’t do anything, and we’re letting people walk into stores and steal whatever they want. It’s scary what’s going on right now.”

Sorbo is one of the growing numbers of Hollywood personalities who are taking a stand against the constant demasculinization of America. He understands that the demonization of manhood is leading to the collapse of the United States of America. Just like many conservatives point out, Sorbo is making it clear that a strong male presence is a positive in communities and families, even if the left wants to make it out to be a net negative.

Sorbo took aim at the media, pointing to popular television sitcoms as one of the many culprits in the war against strong father figures. “And all they do — the teenage kids on these shows — is make fun of Dad.”

If there is one lasting plea that should be heard around the world from Sorbo’s interview, it is the following. “Let kids be kids. Let them grow up on their own. To have these ‘pride’ readings in libraries, these ‘drag queen’ readings in libraries, take place — but then these same individuals attack people like Kirk Cameron.” Add Kevin Sorbo to the list of Hollywood stars who are fighting back against the left’s gross narratives.
