Legendary Guitarist Carlos Santana offered some strong comments about his believe on gender and biological sex, before quickly being stomped down and cowering to the woke mob. Santana, after proclaiming that biological sex was very real and important, took to social media to offer an apology to group that sought to cancel him for those beliefs.
At a recent concert, Santana minced no words when making his stance on the transgender debate known. He said, “When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are. Later on when you grow up, and you see things and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good but you know it ain’t right, because a woman is a woman and a man is a man — that’s it.”
Those comments of course caused quite the storm for Santana as the pro-cancellation mob came after him fiercely. It didn’t help matters that Santana chose to say that he stands with Dave Chapelle, who is a champion against the woke mob and arch nemesis to the cancellation movement on the Left.

A few days later, on a Facebook post, Santana finally caved to the demands of the vocal minority on the Left. “I am sorry for my insensitive comments. They don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs. I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended,” he wrote.
He continued on, really giving a performance for the ages in an attempt to please the angry fans. “Here is my personal goal that I strive to achieve every day. I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs whether they are LGBTQ or not. This is the planet of free will and we have all been given this gift.”
Finally, Santana concluded, “I will now pursue this goal to be happy and have fun, and for everyone to believe what they want and follow in your hearts without fear. It takes courage to grow and glow in the light that you are and to be true, genuine, and authentic. We grow and learn to shine our light with Love and compliments. Have a glorious existence. Peace.”
As we have seen in the past, offering an apology is not always the best way to navigate an attack from the woke mob. Sometimes it works, like in the case of Morgan Wallen who recovered from an n-word incident and subsequent apology tour to become one of the hottest artists of the decade thus far.
More often, however, this makes both sides furious with the person in question. The woke mob will never fully forgive someone for comments that go against heir narrative. And the right will never fully forgive someone who caved to the demands of those who wish to silence our speech.
