“Least Talented”: Congressman Totally Roasts Tim Walz to His Face and The Internet Explodes Roasting Walz Online

In a March 4, 2026, House Oversight Committee hearing on fraud in Minnesota, GOP Rep. Pat Fallon sharply blasted Gov. Tim Walz by mocking the way Democrats select the VP. Fallon joked that Obama chose Biden for being less capable, Biden chose Harris similarly, and Harris picked Walz for the same reason, implying Walz lacks talent to outshine her.

Walz responded with forced laughter and “I wouldn’t know, Congressman.” Fallon concluded the talent pool had “hit the shore.” The exchange, part of a contentious fraud probe involving billions in alleged misuse, quickly went viral among conservatives on social media.

In any case, Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) began the interaction by saying, “It’s been widely reported that, in 2008, when Barack Obama was choosing his vice presidential candidate, he had three criteria. He wanted to make sure he picked someone that wasn’t as smart as him and had less talent and charisma and couldn’t possibly outshine him, so he picked Joe Biden,” adding, “and then Joe Biden in 2020 used the exact same criteria.”

Contining his comments, Fallon noted, “He wanted to make sure he picked somebody that wasn’t as smart as him, had less talent and charisma and wouldn’t outshine him. And he picked Kamala Harris,” turning to Tim Walz he noted, “I think it’s very evident why Kamala Harris picked you.”

“I wouldn’t know, Congressman,” responded Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. However, the quick-witted Republican joked, “The talent pool isn’t just shallow, brother. We have hit the shore,” totally embarrassing the embattled democrat.

Reacting to another interaction from the same hearing, one social media post read, “🚨 JUST IN: Rep. Pat Fallon NUKES Tim Walz for LYING and saying Somalis are a benefit to the state, and are ASSIMILATING. Fallon pulled out a chart showing the MASSIVE amount of Somalis on welfare, vs. native-born Americans”

The post continued, “FOOD STAMPS: 7% Natives, 54% Somalis GENERAL WELFARE: 21% Natives, 81% Somalis FAMILY MEMBER ON MEDICAID: 17% Natives, 73% Somalis These people are a DRAIN on our society, and Democrats can NO LONGER cover it up. SEND THEM ALL BACK!”

In the comments under this post, dozens of conservatives let Walz have it. “*Send them all away. I don’t care if they go back to Somalia, as long as they’re not here,” one user reacted. “How did he not come prepared for this question? Didn’t Gill do this same thing like a month ago in a hearing,” a comment asked.

A woman speculated, “He was definitely in on it! There’s no way you could watch that much money flow out of your coffers and not have a clue.” Another comment added, “Somalis leeching: 54% food stamps, 81% Medicaid, 87% fraud charges? Walz’s reality check—Dems enabling it all. Protect taxpayers first! 🇺🇸 😡”

One cynical conservative reacted, “This is great and all, but what comes from these hearings? Until these treasounous democrats are removed from office and arrested, nothing will change.” Agreeing, another added, “and yet, nothing will happen to him… and he’ll be flown back to the Governors mansion in a private plane to retire for the evening.”
