As criminals rule the streets in many major cities, millions of illegal immigrants flow across the open southern border every year, and the Chinese connections of the president’s son are called into question, what is Joe Biden’s FBI doing? Trying to find ways to criminalize Christianity, apparently.
Such was leaked by a whistleblower, former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin, who appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to discuss the issue with FNC’s best host. Seraphin, speaking about what the FBI was up to, said “They have found a gateway in what they think is fringe Catholicism in order to move into Christians in general and declare them to be the actual criminals in this country or the potential terrorists.”
That comment was in reference to a leaked internal document from the FBI’s Richmond, VA field office in which that field office vowed to spy on “radical traditionalist Catholics and their ideology.” Seraphin continued, explaining the connecting threads of the FBI’s attempt to turn conservatives into criminals by desperately searching for “white supremacists” and those “radical traditionalists Catholics,” saying:
“I’m friends with people who love the Latin Mass. I grew up in a traditional school where I actually learned Latin in fifth and sixth grade and all the way through high school and it doesn’t seem reasonable, but it is the state of the FBI at this point that they are so desperate to find White supremacists that they’re going to look at the Catholic Church.”
He also commented on the whistleblower who provided him with the “radical traditionalists Catholics” document, saying “He or she stated the very simple statement, which is that if they’re going to go after radical, traditional Catholics, then radical traditional Baptists are next and radical, traditional evangelicalism and anybody else that espouses essentially what is radical, which is just a Christian faith and that is dangerous apparently in this country.”
And he commented on how the FBI justifies going after those faithful Christians, saying “a preference for the Catholic Mass in Latin instead of the vernacular and a number of more traditional views on other world religions can amount to an ‘adherence to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ and white supremacist ideology.’”
And what’s that leading to? The criminalization of Christians. In Seraphin’s words: “They have found a gateway in what they think is fringe Catholicism in order to move into Christians in general and to declare them to be the actual criminals in this country or the potential terrorists. The whole document basically is written from the perspective of somebody who thinks there are significant abortion rights that need to be defended and also an LGBTQ agenda that has to be pushed down the American people’s throats and these are antithetical to Catholicism.”
The FBI, after being caught and called out by Seraphin and Tucker, withdrew the document and somewhat backed off the anti-Catholic, anti-Christian stance it took, saying:
“While our standard practice is to not comment on specific intelligence products, this particular field office product — disseminated only within the FBI — regarding racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism does not meet the exacting standards of the FBI.”
“Upon learning of the document, FBI Headquarters quickly began taking action to remove the document from FBI systems and conduct a review of the basis for the document. The FBI is committed to sound analytic tradecraft and to investigating and preventing acts of violence and other crimes while upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans and will never conduct investigative activities or open an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity.”
