FBI Director Kash Patel fired a supervisory special agent for soliciting prostitutes during domestic and foreign assignments while using an agency-issued device to pay for these illicit meetups. According to an official document, the agent violated FBI and DOJ rules and failed to report these activities, which exposed him to extortion risk.
For context, President Donald Trump has long criticized the FBI for their corruption and shady dealings. In the official document, the agent was revealed to have had a number of previous misconduct cases, primarily for prostitution charges.
In any case, the news was broken by a prominent conservative social media account on X which posted, “🚨The DOJ has declined to prosecute an FBI supervisory agent for partying with prostitutes overseas. It’s unclear whether the agent was punished at all. Typically these reports will say “he retired during the investigation” but not here — though it does refer to him as a “then”- agent.”
Attatched to the same July 2, 2025 post, the conservative posted a screenshot of an official memo that noted, “The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated an investigation after receiving information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alleging that, while working for the FBI overseas and traveling for work domestically, a then-FBI Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) solicited and used prostitutes.”
Building out the case, the document reported, “It was also alleged that the then-SSA used an FBI-issued mobile device to conduct the transactions related to the solicitation of prostitutes and failed to self-report close or continuous contact with a foreign national the then-SSA was dating while overseas.”
According to the document, investigators found even more shady dealings. The report stated, “During its investigation, the OIG found indications that the then-SSA had failed to self-report close or continuous contacts with the foreign national prostitutes,” adding, “The OIG investigation substantiated the allegations that the then-SSA had solicited and used prostitutes on numerous occasions while on FBI assignment overseas and traveling domestically and misused an FBI-issued mobile device to conduct the transactions related to the solicitation, in violation of DOJ and FBI policies.”
Concluding the report, the document revealed, “The OIG investigation further found the then-SSA failed to self-report close or continuous contact with a foreign national the then-SSA was dating overseas and with the foreign nationals whom the then-SSA paid for sex, in violation of FBI policy. Criminal prosecution was declined.”

In the comments under the post, conservatives wondered if there was more to the story than the official story. One such comment read, “I bet it’s related to the Asian scandal, which is well documented. George Piro was the AD at the time, so he got banged down to Miami SAC. Then he allegedly got caught in a Bucar tryst, which is also well documented on this site.”
Pointing to a deeper issue, one woman noted, “The same @FBI who changed sex crime clearance standards under Obama to allow sex assault cases remain open and unsolved, and not count against crime statistics? Sounds about right.”
