Vice President Kamala Harris recently suspended advertising spend in the critical swing state of North Carolina. Suggesting that her campaign is surrendering the battleground state to former President Donald Trump, Harris withdrew approximately $2 million in spending plans on television ads across the Tarheel State.
According to reports, Harris canceled $1.7 million in ad spending across North Carolina, where recent polling and early voting data are not in her favor. Based on the latest data from FiveThirtyEight as of October 30, Trump is leading Harris in North Carolina by over 1 point, with 48.4 percent compared to the vice president’s 47.2 percent.
Trump’s senior campaign adviser Chris LaCivita commented on the great news for the Republican presidential candidate, writing, “@KamalaHarris giving up on North Carolina..pulling money out. Maybe to drop in Virginia to try and stop the slide?” Other users across social media commented on the positive sign for the Trump-Vance campaign.
The popular conservative X account Salty Goat also weighed in on the telling move from the Harris campaign. “Kamala Harris:“States such as North Carolina and Georgia… historic turnout… historic turnout!!” And in other news: The Harris campaign just pulled all ads from North Carolina and moved staff to Virginia because there’s no path to victory. Looks like winning to me don’t y’all think?” he wrote sarcastically.
Former President Donald Trump recently took to X, sounding off on the Kamala Harris campaign for running on “hate,” after she and other Democrats have incessantly labeled Trump a fascist. Furthermore, Trump called out president Biden for labeling his supporters as “garbage,” while maintaining that he is working to create “positive solutions” for Americans citizens.
“While I am running a campaign of positive solutions to save America, Kamala Harris is running a campaign of hate. She has spent all week comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history. Now, on top of everything, Joe Biden calls our supporters “garbage.” You can’t lead America if you don’t love the American People. Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have shown they are both unfit to be President of the United States,” he said.
“I am proud to lead the biggest, broadest, and most important political coalition in American history. We are welcoming historic numbers of Latinos, African Americans, Asian Americans, and citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed. It is my desire to be the President of all the people,” Trump continued in his post on X.
Former President Trump has also been vocal on X regarding other swing states, recently posting a message to voters in the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania. The Republican presidential candidate encouraged all voters to stay in line and refused to be silenced, emphasizing the win must be “too big to rig.”
Trump told his followers, “Pennsylvania, today, October 29th, is the last day to vote in-person by mail! I need you to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE! Don’t let anyone stop you from voting. Stay in line, don’t let anyone turn you away and silence your voice. We need to make it TOO BIG TO RIG! If you’re in Pennsylvania, don’t wait. VOTE TODAY!”
