Prompting a massive meltdown on social media, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) attacked President Trump’s decisive trade war by blaming tariffs for the rising cost of living. In a clip posted to social media, he twisted a question about Obamacare into a way to attack Trump.
For context, conservatives were enraged by these self-serving comments and blasted Paul in a series of social media posts. Over the course of both terms, Trump has often clashed with the RINO, much to the amusement of conservatives.
Captioning his self-serving video, RINO took to social media. “The #1 concern I hear at home isn’t shutdowns… It’s tariffs. Tariffs are crushing Kentucky’s family farms, bourbon makers, and shipping jobs. Bad policy hurts working Americans. We don’t need more government handouts — we need freedom to trade and compete. @BloombergTV,” he said, stabbing Trump in the back.
Reacting to the post, one user wrote, “Just retire already, you rino. All you do is vote with democrats anyway.” Agreeing, another noted, “Not H1B? Not Obamacare? Not the mass invasion of the country, causing the price of everything to skyrocket. Or just the big wealthy liquor companies making contributions to your campaign?”
Beginning his comments, Paul started by moving to criticise the Democrats, saying, “The extent to which there’s concern about Obamacare subsidies expiring at the end of the year, this is the talk, and the President says that he’s in discussions with Democrats about this, is that the off ramp.”
Adding to this point, he noted, “Most of our conversations at home have been with people affected by tariffs. So, the number one issue I encounter wherever I go in the state is that tariffs are killing the family farm. Tariffs are killing the bourbon industry. Tariffs are killing the cargo transport industry.”
Shifting the blame to attack President Trump, the controversial senator claimed, “So there’s all kinds of talk, but mostly of tariffs on the idea of health care. I hear mostly from small businesses that are not in the Obamacare exchange, but feel like they don’t have the leverage to get a good price.”

Still not done, Sen Paul offered a distant solution. “So what I’ve been offering for years for people who are worried about the price of health care is I’d like to let people buy it through an entity like Costco, which has 44 million members. I’d like to make it legal for you just to go to Costco, and then somebody from Costco would negotiate for 44 million members and have the leverage to drive prices down, it’s that individual market of small businessmen and women who have trouble with the health insurance,” he complained.

Concluding his comments, the whiny RINO said, “Then there’s the whole government subsidy part. However, the reason you can’t just give everybody money is that we don’t have the funds to distribute to them. We have to borrow it from China. That leads to inflation, and poor people think they’re getting something free on one hand, but the other hand is in their pocket, stealing their paycheck with inflation.”
