More details about the reason for Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox News might be in a clip that was just leaked of Tucker utterly thrashing Fox News Channel’s streaming service, Fox Nation. In the clip, Tucker can be heard calling the streaming site “hard to use” and claiming that people don’t want it.
In the clip, Tucker Carlson, speaking to a supposed representative of “manosphere” personality Andrew Tate, said:
It begins with Tucker, discussing the idea of bringing Tate on his show to the rep and debating whether to do it on Fox Nation or Fox News Channel, saying, “Have you watched any way? We’re gonna, because I, you know, I’m like, I don’t want to be. I don’t want to be a slave to Fox nation, which I don’t think that when people watch anyway, we’re gonna because I you know, I’m like a representative of the American media now speaking to an exile in Romania and welcoming him back into the brotherhood of journalists.”
Responding, the rep said Tate wasn’t going to be wearing a suit for the show, saying, “Yeah, it would help us out if you want to know because we asked him not to wear a suit. Like he was kind of talking about it. And so you don’t have to talk he’s gonna be looking casual. Our show looks is that okay?”
Tucker was unhappy with that, saying, “I mean, this is airing on the nighttime show, and I want it to look official, I don’t want it to be like, Bro talk. And I and I, you know what I mean?”
Then, shortly afterward, Tucker savaged Fox Nation, saying that “the site sucks” and that he’s frustrated with how useless and difficult the Fox Nation website is. In his words:
“Nobody’s gonna watch it on Fox Nation. Nobody watches Fox Nation because the site sucks. So I’d really like to just put the dump the whole thing on YouTube. But anyway, that’s just my view. I’m just frustrated with it’s hard to use that site. I don’t know why they’re not fixing it. It’s driving me insane. And they’re like making like, Lifetime movies. But they don’t they don’t work on the infrastructure of the site. Like, what? It’s crazy. And it drives me crazy. Because it’s like, we’re doing all this extra work, and no one can find it. It’s unbelievable. Actually, I don’t know who runs that site.”
He then later called their inability to make Fox Nation “a betrayal” of the hard work he was putting into making content for it, saying, “I know but we’re doing our part. We’re like working like animals to produce all this content and the people in charge of it. Whoever that guy’s whatever his name is like they’re ignoring the fact that the site doesn’t work. And it’s I think it’s like a betrayal of our efforts. That’s how I feel so I of course, I resent it.”
