In some bad news for those hoping to see moderation and non-craziness out of the Democratic caucus in the government, it looks like the generally moderate and at least not crazy Sen. John Fetterman will be out of office for a bit, as he “collapsed” while on a walk near his home in Pennsylvania after suffering a medical emergency.
Such is what the senator’s staff announced via a statement released on X, saying that the senator fell while on a walk near his home and that he had been hospitalized as a result, with doctors discovered he had suffered a medical emergency that caused the fall and collapse.
The news quickly went viral on X, with news-focused accounts, such as Trending Politics News’ Collin Rugg, posting about it. Rugg said, “BREAKING: Democrat Senator John Fetterman hospitalized after suffering from a fall and hitting his face. Fetterman reportedly collapsed from a ‘ventricular fibrillation flare-up’ during a walk this morning. ”
In any case, the senator’s statement, which was posted on X around 1 in the afternoon on Thursday, November 13, began by saying, “During an early morning walk, Senator Fetterman sustained a fall near his home in Braddock. Out of an abundance of caution, he was transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh.”
Continuing, the statement went on to describe the medical emergency that Sen. Fetterman suffered that led to the fall, saying, “Upon evaluation, it was established he had a ventricular fibrillation flare-up that led to Senator Fetterman feeling light-headed, falling to the ground and hitting his face with minor injuries.”
Because he suffered injuries to the face during the incident, the senator made a joke about how he looks as a result of the fall and having crashed to the ground, with the statement providing, “Senator Fetterman had this to say: ‘If you thought my face looked bad before, wait until you see it now!’”
Concluding, the statement said, “He is doing well and receiving routine observation at the hospital. He has opted to stay so doctors can fine-tune his medication regimen. Senator Fetterman is grateful for the EMTs, doctors, and nurses who are providing his care.”

The comments section of the post was full of conservative accounts wishing him a speedy and full recovery. One such post said, “Wish you the best for a speedy recovery. While I’m not a Democrat, you seem to be one of the few who actually cares about the American worker. I appreciate it.”
Others left messages like “Wishing good health & saying a prayer for John.” and “Godspeed in your recovery, sir.” Another wrote, “Hey @SenFettermanPA we don’t agree on politics but MAGA appreciates you for being a decent person who keeps it real and wishing you a speedy recovery! God Bless America 🇺🇸”
Still others said, “Senator, MAGA may disagree with your politics, we appreciate your “straight shooter” stance. We all pray for you to have a full recovery and get back to coming to work in shorts and untucked oversized shirts! Get well soon!” and “As someone in PA that hated you when campaigning – I wish you the best recovery possible and that youre able to resume living life however you chose to.
