In huge news announced on Thursday, December 26, Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity announced his engagement to fellow FNC host Ainsley Earhardt, having proposed to her at their home church over the Christmas holiday. Both have children from previous marriages, and FNC reported that those children gave them their blessing and support.
Speaking in a statement on the matter, the two said that their children “couldn’t be happier.” Also in that statement on their families and their exciting new engagement, Earhardt and Hannity said, “We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives.”
Commenters on X (formerly Twitter) were broadly supportive but also surprised, not knowing that Hannity and Earhardt had even been together, much less engaged. One, for example, said, “I saw this earlier on X but found it so surprising, I had to check it out…Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt are engaged. Surprised the hell out of me. Did you all know they were an item?”
Another positive commenter called them a “conservative power duo,” wishing them a happy marriage and saying, “💍 Sean Hannity @seanhannity and Ainsley Earhardt @ainsleyearhardt are taking their relationship to the next level—they’re engaged! Wishing the conservative power duo a lifetime of love and happiness. 🩵” Being negative, on ht other hand, another poster wrote, “Sean Hannity is about to be 63 years old. Ainsley Earhardt is 48. What is the point of getting engaged? What are they waiting for?”
Another commenter noted that this has been a big month for Fox News Channel hosts, with Greg Gutfeld and his wife having a baby in quite the surprise, and then Hannity was engaged to fellow FNC host Ainsley Earhardt. That poster said, “First Greg Gutfeld and his wife had a baby and now Fox hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt are engaged.”
Gutfeld, as background, announced the baby in a statement read by his co-hosts on “The Five.” In it, he said, “‘It is with great joy that my wife, Elena, and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world. Mira is healthy with a real set of lungs. She has Elena’s beautiful eyes and my rock hard abs. We are hard at work teaching her three languages and putting her through rigorous workout routine.'”
He also said, “‘She’s already very observant and has asked if Jesse wears a toupee. I told her that he definitely wears a wig.'” Gutfeld concluded the statement by saying, “‘As you can understand, we value our privacy and we thank everyone for the good wishes, and now I have to go stop Gus from licking her face.'”

Watters then added, after the end of the statement from Gutfeld, “Congratulations, Greg, Elena and Mira, welcome to the world. We are excited for you and enjoy this time together. We miss you, but we we are there in spirit that’s not changing diapers. Some of us miss you. Others are enjoying the time without you. Take as long as you want.”
