83-year-old, Trump Derangement Syndrome-afflicted television personality Joy Behar is off ABC’s “The View” for a still somewhat unclear amount of time in the wake of a serious injury that she suffered on the set of the show. She missed appearing on the show this week as a result of the serious injury.
Such is what was revealed by her representative, who commented on the matter to the New York Post-affiliated Page Six, noting that Behar had been injured on the backstage set of the leftist television program and would not be back onto the show for a week or so after having missed her appearance on Thursday, October 1.
Describing the injury in only slight detail, the representative explained, “Joy caught a heel backstage but is on the mend and should be back on the show mid next week.” Continuing, the representative added that Behar, 83, fortunately didn’t break her shoulder, but only sprained it, saying, “Her shoulder wasn’t broken and is back in place and she is excited to be back at the table as quickly as possible.”
Behar’s fellow co-host, Sunny Hostin, addressed the matter as well during her comments at the start of the show, and gave somewhat more information on Behar’s shoulder injury. “So, Whoopi [Goldberg] is still out filming a movie,” Hostin said. Continuing, she noted, “And, unfortunately, our dear friend Joy dislocated her shoulder.”
The audience gasped at the news, leading Hostin to remark, “Yeah, so she’s recovering and will be back soon.” Hostin tried to move the energy back in a more positive direction by joking around about the situation, saying that she’s “the next oldest” host–she’s in her late 50s–and so the studio put her in charge. Then, joking about her age, she said, “Or, let’s say, seasoned. I like seasoned better!”
Unfortunately for her, this probably isn’t the end of Behar’s problems. Speaking back in early July on her health, Behar told the audience of “The View” that she has been experiencing a serious problem with dizziness, and so far nothing was helping with it, including acupuncture.
Commenting on that, and claiming that she doesn’t drink, though people think she does because of how she walks, Behar said, “I walk and I’m dizzy. Has anyone noticed, I walk like I’m drunk? I’m not drinking. I don’t drink. Between the Botox, the Ozempic and the acupuncture, I’m, like, full of needles, more than a drug addict.” Alyssa Farah Griffin, at that point, chimed in to joke that Behar often need help getting to her seat on the set.

President Trump, for his part, has responded to Behar’s frequent criticisms of him and attacks of him by attacking right on back. “Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s no surprise that The View’s ratings hit an all time low last year,” he said at one point, for example.
