Just In: Biden Hit with “Too Early to Tell” Health Scare Just Months after Leaving White House

President Joe Biden has only been out of the White House for months and he is already facing a serious health scare of the sort that many voters were worried about when he tried running for re-election in 2024 and reminded voters of his advanced age and increasing frailty nearly every time he opened his mouth.

That worry-confirming health scare is that, as was confirmed by the team for the now 82-year-old former president on Tuesday, May 13, a “small nodule” that was potentially cancerous or a sign of cancer was found on his prostate during a routine physical examination.

Such was announced by a spokesperson for the former president in a statement to ABC News in which the spox said that the nodule required further examination and was found in a physical exam routine for men his age, saying, “In a routine physical exam a small nodule was found in the prostate which necessitated further evaluation.” ABC News, for its part, added that “It is too early to say if it is a benign lump caused by inflammation or something more serious.”

Commenting to CBS News on the matter, a urologist named Dr. Rajen Butani, who is not treating former President Biden but is familiar with similar issues, described what a nodule is, saying, “When you feel a little discrete bump on the prostate, that’s what a nodule is.”

Dr. Butani then added that a biopsy, which is where tissue samples are taken and examined, is the further testing that will be done to determine if the nodule is a cancerous problem. He said, “Based upon those additional studies, you can determine your level of suspicion whether or not you want to or need to do a biopsy.”

Further, the doctor told CBS News that what treatment is used depends on a variety of factors, saying, “In instances where the prostate cancer is localized, men can sometimes just watch that cancer, depending on the stage of grade, the volume of that cancer, also the age of the individual.”

The news of the nodule comes alongside stunning news from excerpts in a book called “Original Sin, President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” which was written by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson. In the book, the two co-authors claimed that former President Biden’s health was so bad that his aides were considering putting him in a wheelchair if he was reelected.

Such was revealed in an article in Axios written by by book co-author Thompson, in which Thompson wrote, “Biden’s physical deterioration — most apparent in his halting walk — had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting the president in a wheelchair, but they couldn’t do so until after the election.”

Biden’s team fired back in a statement, saying, “We have not reviewed the book, and the authors did not fact check the book with us, despite it being a common practice to do so. So we are not going to respond to every bit of this book they choose to release via select leaks in the reporters’ efforts to make a profit. We continue to await anything that shows where Joe Biden had to make a presidential decision or where national security was threatened or where he was unable to do his job. In fact, the evidence points to the opposite – he was a very effective president.”
