Joy Behar Claims Trump Will Cancel “The View” if Re-Elected [WATCH]

Ahead of the upcoming presidential election, members of the mainstream media have been sounding the alarm regarding their concerns about how former President Donald Trump could seek retribution following years of incessant hostility toward him.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow recently appeared on ABC’s “The View,” where she discussed her fears with the panelists on the left-leaning talk show. Having long been a staunch critic of Trump, Maddow has illustrated how she believes the presumptive Republican nominee would put members of the press in “camps.”

“I’m worried about the country broadly if we put someone in power who is openly avowing that he plans to build camps to hold millions of people, and to ‘root out’ what he’s described in subhuman terms as his ‘enemy from within.’” Maddow previously said.  “For that matter, what convinces you that these massive camps he’s planning are only for migrants? I’m worried about me — but only as much as I’m worried about all of us.”

Co-host Joy Behar brought up Maddow’s comments during Tuesday’s show, expressing her agreement.  “So you said recently that you thought that you, as an outspoken critic, could be a target yourself. Some people think that sounds overdramatic, but I’m right there with you,” Behar told the MSNBC personality.

“I think that he is so vindictive that he will go after [us], however he has to, through the IRS maybe, or even through sponsors, to get us off the air maybe, or you,” Behar continued.  “How seriously should we be taking that?”

Maddow responded, expressing that she is not only concerned about her own well-being, but also that of the broader country.  “Well, so I was asked, am I worried about me? And my answer was, I’m worried about all of us. I’m no more worried about me than I am worried about everybody in the country.”

She further suggested that Trump was hungry for power, seeking to “destroy” his political adversaries throughout the country.  “I think it’s bad to have somebody saying, ‘give me as much power as you can in this country. So I can use it to go after other Americans. So I can use it to go after the subhuman internal enemies, and I’ll destroy them.’ That’s just not a good system for anybody, and I don’t think anybody’s safe if that’s the sort of basis on which he wants to get more,” she continued.  Watch the segment below:

Behar opined that maybe they should consider it a good thing that they were enemies of Trump.  She chimed in, “I remember when Nixon had an enemy’s list. That was a proud moment for a lot of people, if they were on the enemy. Maybe we need to turn it around like that.”

“Well, I don’t, I mean, I think that if he decides that he’s going to go after you or me or anybody who’s well known. You know, we have resources. We’ll be, we’ll likely be fine, but I think there’s a pattern where he picks out individual people and effectively terrorizes them,” Maddow continued.
