President Biden was roundly mocked on Twitter after endorsing the Super Bowl contending Philadelphia Eagles ahead of their highly-anticipated matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs went on to defeat the Eagles 38-35 in an offensive showdown featuring two of the most explosive quarterbacks and offenses in the league.
“As your president, I’m not picking favorites. But as Jill Biden’s husband, fly Eagles, fly,” Biden tweeted Sunday morning ahead of the game.

Immediately, pushback came from all sides, ranging from simple fans to conservative commentators wishing Biden would address more serious issues such as the various flying objects his military was mysteriously shooting down or an alarming train derailment that seems to be spewing toxic waste in eastern Ohio.
“Worry about inflation, not football, grandpa,” one comment said.
“Can we talk about other things that are flying around the country as of late?” another stated.
“Well there it is, dominion is keeping score,” one on-the-nose user wrote in reference to the hotly-contested 2020 election.
“I would like to remind the state of Pennsylvania that Biden caused the Eagles to lose the Super Bowl and the Steelers to miss the playoffs,” another prescient user predicted.
For most Americans that skipped the annual State of the Union address, Biden even made an overt reference to the Super Bowl prior to embarking on his egregious gaslighting and slandering of the American people. Inquirer wrote that Biden attempted to make a joke about needing a court order for his wife, Jill, who was going to be a spectator at the game.
Just moments after stepping to the podium, Biden referenced the big game, joking to Chief Justice John Roberts that he’d need a court order because first lady Jill Biden was going to go to the Super Bowl on Sunday while he had to stay in Washington.
Even the president wants to see the Eagles get one more win, and a ring.
It appears Biden mishandled everything about this yearly festivity. Biden became the first president in years to skip the traditional interview with Fox News, the company that owns the broadcast rights to the NFL’s biggest game. Even his predecessor Barack Obama handled tough questions from former primetime host Bill O’Reilly in the special session.
The Biden White House, of course, is pretending that the media outlet is the one that wants to reject a huge television audience. The Comeback wrote of the official statement from Biden’s administration:
“As we said earlier, we had arranged an interview with FOX Sports Host Mike Hill & Vivica A. Fox with the President ahead of the Super Bowl, and Fox Corp. had the interview canceled,” the White House official told the Associated Press. “Fox has since put out a statement indicating the interview was rescheduled, which is inaccurate.”
For this to make sense, Fox would have to deny viewers a chance for a bumbling president to take and respond to tough questions about all of his failed policies and statements. Common sense suggests the Biden team is aware of how nothing could be gained from such awful exposure – and it would be awful – so they backed out.
