The Jersey City Marathon and half marathon announced they offered cash prizes and had a special category for nonbinary runners this weekend. At this point it is difficult to say if this is a step in the right direction in regards to women’s competition. It is unknown if biological men are still being allowed to compete against the ladies.
As long as organizations and corporations continue to cater to the delusions of a small segment of our society, this madness will continue unabated. Race director Steve Lipski had this to say via the Star-Ledger: “In Jersey City, 10 nonbinary runners in the marathon and four in the half marathon were among the 6,300 runners overall who had signed up as of Thursday morning. According to Lipski, the organizers decided to include the nonbinary category to express “love and respect for people.”
It is unclear who wasn’t getting loved and respected by simply having a men’s and women’s category. It sounds more like a ploy to identify yourself in such a way that perhaps you could have a distinct biological advantage over the other runners. Sound familiar?
Lipski continued: “Who are we to challenge how they identify,”
Some would say, people that acknowledge science and exercise common sense would be who. Though to be fair, most folks you see on social media claiming the fallacy of being nonbinary don’t exactly look like the exercising types. They look more like the types that search out elevators and escalators so they don’t have to climb stairs.
This is why "trans" divisions won't work in H.S and College, there's not enough mentally ill to participate.
In this race of 6,300, ONLY 10 "trans people" signed up.
How is that a whole race division?
END THE MADNESS!https://t.co/qbvJdvdvqJ

Naturally this trend started in liberal cities. New York and Boston added nonbinary divisions, as well as London. New York City is the only one besides Jersey City to offer cash prizes. The top performers in Jersey City Marathon & Half-Marathon will each receive a $5,000 and $1,000 prize, respectively.
For that kind of coin, there will undoubtedly be runners that have no chance of winning the mens or women’s division that suddenly identify as nonbinary. After all, you don’t have to actually prove it, it is just based on how you feel!
Predictably, activists are taking a victory lap. Probably at walking speed. Christian Fuscarino, executive director of Garden State Equality said this: “Ensuring that competition is equitable based on gender identity is an important step toward inclusion. For many nonbinary people, being forced to compete in either the men’s or women’s division can be a point of discomfort. This allows them to compete in a way that feels safe and comfortable to them.”
What Fuscarino is implying is so-called nonbinary runners somehow have a competitive disadvantage because they FEEL a certain way. There is no scenario under which a nonbinary person would have a competitive disadvantage except that they don’t train as hard or simply aren’t as good as competitors of their sex.
To imply otherwise SHOULD be an insult to so-called nonbinary people. Instead, a special division is being celebrated like it is some sort of equity breakthrough. What it really is, is a way for athletes that aren’t good enough to win to slip in the back door and take home some prize money based on a myth that no one is willing to disprove.
Since being nonbinary is a state of mind and not a physical manifestation, no one will have to prove anything, and the prize money is there for the taking. A real step forward for equality.
