JD Vance’s Anti-Fraud Task Force Has Already Found Another Sprawling Blue State Fraud Network, and the Clever Tactic Used to Find It Has Been Revealed

Vice President JD Vance is hard at work as the head of the new anti-fraud task force, implementing the use of an artificial intelligence platform to help identify and address fraud with speed and accuracy. Vance was appointed to the position by President Donald Trump in the wake of massive fraud being uncovered in both Minnesota and California involving members of the Somali community.

The task force is currently partnered with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, headed by Dr. Mehmet Oz. Last month, CMS successfully identified and suspended 70 hospice and home health providers in the city of Los Angeles after the facilities were flagged as high-risk fraudulent providers. The funding for the centers was paused a week after being identified by both the task force and CMS.

“As the task force to root out waste, fraud and abuse ramps up its work, we expect [the number of potentially fraudulent hospice and home health providers] to grow exponentially,” a source close to the situation told the media. Both Vance and Oz announced in February that a whopping $259.5 million in Medicaid funds would be withheld from the state of Minnesota due to fraud concerns.

According to a report from Fox News, the task force is planning to use the same template used by CMS to help identify the fraud in Minnesota, which includes the use of an artificial intelligence system that flags claims for review or blocks those that have been identified as likely being fraudulent. Before the AI was developed, Health and Human Services (HHS) and CMS would have to go in manually to dis-enroll organizations that were suspected of committing fraud.

The AI apparently helps identify fraud at a much faster pace. Both the task force and CMS are currently in the process of hiring CMS technologists who will help roll out the new AI system across the U.S. “Vice President Vance looks forward to carrying out the President’s War on Fraud,” a Vance spokesperson said in a statement delivered to Fox News.

The American people deserve better than being ripped off by people who hate this country, and the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud will ensure that essential taxpayer-funded services are used to support the hard-working Americans who rely on them, instead of being used by fraudsters and criminals,” the statement continued.

The crackdown on fraud in Minnesota came about as a result of a 2022 investigation opened under the Biden Department of Justice, into a nonprofit organization, Feeding Our Future, which prosecutors later referred to as one of the largest fraud schemes involving pandemic relief funds. The money awarded for that program was supposed to feed children who were out of school during the shut down world at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

During the course of the investigation, $250 million in fraudulent claims were discovered and a total of 78 individuals were charged for their involvement in the scheme. During an event in North Carolina in early March 2026, Vance revealed that the Trump administration had uncovered “$19 billion at least” in fraud in the state of Minnesota, before alluding that California would be the next big state to tackle for identifying fraud.
