Far left Representative Jasmine Crocket (D-TX) went on a vile rant where she slandered Christians in a controversial post on social media. Criticising Christians for opposing welfare fraud, she said, “It blows my mind that the party that touts its ‘Christian values’ is the same party that is SET on taking food from the hungry.”
For context, Jasmine Crockett is a far-left representative who has made headlines for her shocking, poor behavior. In the short time since she took office, she has threatened Senator Ted Cruz, allegedly assaulted a journalist, and generally embarrassed herself at every opportunity.
Such was shown when she took to X on May 13, 2025. Crockett said, “Let’s clear something up: SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — the LARGEST federal program to fight hunger in the country!” concluding, “It blows my mind that the party that touts its “Christian values” is the same party that is SET on taking food from the hungry.”
In the comments under her post, conservatives were enraged by her horrible argument and disrespectful tone. One lengthy comment shut her down. The user said, “This is what oppressing your people looks like. What has foodstamps and housing done for people who have been on it all their lives? I understand two or three years and then bring it down slowly and then stop at some point. Giving the person time to get a job or get a two year degree.”
Continuing the epic takedown, the account used scripture to prove his point. The response read, “Giving foodstamps and housing for life doesn’t help inspire someone to get a job. Only stopping foodstamps and housing does. Let’s turn to the Bible, a verse for working and food. “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”-2 Thessalonians 3:10″
Building on this point, many conservatives objected to her argument. One such comment read, “Nothing in Christianity calls for money to be forcibly seized by the State then redistributed through an inefficient government program. If I’m wrong please cite the verse…” Another added, “Show me where Jesus said, “When I was hungry, you delegated your responsibility to the government to feed me.””
Still not done taking the woke democrat to task, another comment stated, “The government isn’t responsible for feeding the hungry. The hungry are responsible for feeding themselves. Those that can’t feed themselves can get assistance at food banks, soup kitchens and other outreach centers like churches.” Agreeing, another user said, “There is no relationship between what a Christian does personally and what they want the government to do. The Bible doesn’t call Christians to abuse the power of government to steal from their neighbors to feed the poor.”

Rounding out the comments, one user pulled from personal experience to expose the true scope of welfare fraud. The reply read, “I’ve been clean and sober for 6 years. Over the course of my life I’ve known two families that actually used snap the way it was intended and needed it. I’ve known about 60 drug addicts that use it to supplement their income and trade it for narcotics.”
