Loudmouth of the South, potential Senate candidate Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is facing fresh scrutiny after county records reveal that she’s had an unpaid lien balance of over $3,000 against her luxury condo located in Dallas for over a year. A notice for the lien was filed on April 11, 2024, and can be seen by the public on the Dallas County Clerk’s website, which shows that the Texas Democrat still owes the Westside Condominium Association a total of $3,047.79.
The notice goes on to say that Crockett “is in default in her obligation for payment of assessments and has failed and refused and continues to fail and refuse, despite demand upon her, to pay the Association assessments and related charges properly levied against the Property.” Not paying one’s bills is a bad look for someone who is supposedly representing the constituents of an entire congressional district in the chamber in charge of the government’s purse strings.
The Westside Condominium Association has a legal claim on the unit due to the lien, which prevents Crockett from either selling the property or transferring it to someone else until the debt is paid off. The Dallas County Clerk’s Office has confirmed the authenticity of the lien, stating no record currently exists of it being released, which means the Democrat congresswoman has still not paid the overdue amount.
According to Fox News, Crockett originally purchased the unit in May 2014 and is still registered to vote at that address. Information from Homes.com reveals the complex is a gated community that provides its residents with a “refreshing retreat” and “comfort and convenience in a secure setting.” The place is fully loaded with a pool, clubhouse, and fancy kitchens. The WCA even boasts that the bathrooms in their units are “designed with spa-like features.”
A listing for the WCA also states that its Homeowners Association fees range from $222 to $403. The cost includes structure maintenance, sewer and water, and all other facilities. This newest bit of information has one Democratic strategist gritting his teeth at the prospect of Crockett making a run for the Senate.
“The more we learn about Jasmine Crockett, the more clear it is that she’s the worst possible candidate to run for Senate in Texas,” one strategist told Fox News. The strategist added, “Recent weeks have shown she’s just not ready for primetime.” Crockett also caused a stir when Federal Election Commission filings showed she spent almost $75,000 of donor funds on fancy hotels, transportation, and security in cities located across the country.
Some of the locations where the Texas Democrat lounged about in luxury include Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. That’s just to name a few. Not a lot of her time seems to be spent in Texas’s 30th Congressional District, which includes the city of Dallas.

Crockett’s filings also revealed she’s spent $25,748.87 of her campaign funding since January on hotels and limousine services. Traveling around like a rock star does not come cheap. In fact, her campaign paid $2,728 to Transportation 4 U limousine service to drive around Chicago, while also dropping $2,310.30 and $1,254.00 to similar services in different cities.
Tack on to all of that $50,000 for security expenses, money that also came out of her campaign. Ironically, Crockett has been a big supporter of defunding police. The Texas congresswoman has said she’s “seriously weighing” a possible Senate bid against incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican. Crockett is expected to reveal her plans for the midterm election on December 8.
