In an epic moment from a recent press conference, Judge Jeanine Pirro slammed a biased woke reporter, who cynically tried to use selective crime statistics to paint Trump’s August 11, 2025, decision to federalize the DC police in a negative light.
For context, Pirros is a well-known Television host, lawyer, author, and former judge and prosecutor from New York. Currently working as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, she rose to prominence as a cohost of the Fox News program The Five as well as her own show Justice with Judge Jeanine.
In any case, the electric video showed Pirro reacting to a disingenuous question from a journalist, who claimed that violent crime in Washington, DC, was at its lowest point in decades. The woke reporter alleged that the Department of Justice had previously claimed crime was low, only to reverse course.
Responding in a masterful manner, Pirro demolished the woke reporter. Dramatically grabbing the mic, she declared, “[You’ll never hear the]end of it, what changed? It’s never enough. This changed. This changed. It’s never enough. You tell these families that crime has dropped? You tell the mother of the intern who was shot going out for McDonald’s near the Washington Convention Center. ‘Oh, crime is down.'”
Continuing her impassioned remarks, the former TV host added, “You tell the kid who was just beaten the hell and back with a severe concussion and a broken nose, crime is down. No. That falls on deaf ears, and my ears are deaf to that, and that’s why I fight the fight. Thank you.”
Her remarks echo the points she made while accepting her nomination as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, where she stressed the need for strict law enforcement. As we reported, Pirro declared, “We need to send a message that justice will be honored in the District of Columbia.”
She vowed that she would put an end to the weak law enforcement, which has created a wave of violent crime across the capital city. Pirro noted, “My voice should be heard loud and clear: No more. No more tolerance of hatred. No more mercy for criminals.” Building on this point, she added, “Violence will be addressed directly with the appropriate punishment.”

Concluding her remarks, she promised to make Washington, DC, a city that America could be proud of, saying, “And this city will again become a shining city on a hill in an America that President Trump has promised to make great again and will make safe again.”
Reacting to her appointment, Donald Trump gave a thorough endorsement of the longtime prosecutor. He stated, “I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. Jeanine was Assistant District Attorney for Westchester County, New York, and then went on to serve as County Judge, and District Attorney, where she was the first woman ever to be elected to those positions.”

Concluding his remarks, he described her ironclad qualifications. The president declared, “During her time in office, Jeanine was a powerful crusader for victims of crime. Her establishment of the Domestic Violence Bureau in her Prosecutor’s Office was the first in the Nation. She excelled in all ways.”
