“It’s Just a Disaster”: GOP Rep., Former White House Doctor, Says Biden Doesn’t Have “Cognitive Ability” for Another Term

How is President Biden doing, cognitively, since he just turned 81 years old? Well, the White House gets defensive about it and claims that his administration is doing absolutely wonderfully despite his advanced age. But former White House Doctor Ronny Jackson, now a GOP Congressman from Texas, claims that Biden just “isn’t there” cognitively.

Such is what Rep. Jackson said during a recent appearance on Fox and Friends, saying that though he has been warning about Biden’s mental capacity for a long while at this point, he thinks Biden’s brain is continuing to degenerate and Biden is even less up to the job.

Speaking on the matter, Rep. Jackson noted that he didn’t think Biden had the “cognitive ability”to be a proper president even when he was running in 2020, saying, “I’ve been saying for quite some time now, when he was candidate Joe Biden, that I didn’t think that he had the cognitive ability to do the job.”

Continuing, Rep. Jackson then noted that the various failures of the Biden Administration show that Biden is even less capable than he used to be, saying, “He’s got these people that surround him that are inappropriately encouraging him to continue to run because it builds up who they are and what they do. But our border, our wars overseas, our economy, you know, it’s just a disaster right now. And he just can’t do the job. And it’s just on display every day that he’s not capable of doing this job anymore.”

That lines up with what Jackson said previously: “I think his lack of physical ability and his physical decline is now starting to highlight the cognitive decline that we’ve been watching for so long now,” Jackson said. “It’s a package that just doesn’t sell around the world, and it’s becoming a national security issue for us. We have to do something about it.”

Rep. Jackson recently endorsed former President Donald Trump for 2024, saying, “I was HONORED to be asked by MY PRESIDENT, Donald J. Trump to file for president on his behalf today in Texas. Also honored to be joined by two of his biggest supporters and good friends of mine @KenPaxtonTX & @MillerForTexas. We’re going to WIN BIG in Texas and we’re going to WIN BIG across the country. WE WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!”

Rep. Jackson joined fellow Texas Republican Greg Abbott in doing so. Gov. Abbott endorsed former President Trump in a post on X, saying, “Today, I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President. Now more than ever, America needs a President who will secure the border and prioritize national security. President Trump is the clear choice to get the job done.”

As Texas Republicans, Gov. Abbott and Rep. Jackson, among others, are likely influenced to a great degree by Trump’s calls for a much stronger border enforcement regime, a suite of policies that he and others on the right argue would solve the border crisis problem with which Texas is currently struggling. Texas has tried to deal with the problem on its own, so having the federal government on its side would help it defend its border.
