As the surge of illegal migrants reaches critical mass, more reports of criminal activity involving undocumented immigrants are being revealed. While the liberal media and leftist politicians try to downplay the rise in crime and write it off as a right-wing conspiracy intended to stoke fear, the facts are the facts, and the facts are revealing a massive spike in crime amongst illegal immigrants.
According to Town Hall, 1,178 assault and domestic violence crimes were committed by undocumented migrants in 2021, marking a 400 percent rise from the 208 the year before. Aside from violent crime, illegal possession of or trafficking of drugs obtained by undocumented people skyrocketed by 453 percent from 2020 to 2021, from 386 to 2,138.
The left might maintain it isn’t a problem, but tell that to the family of Laken Riley or the family of Washington State Trooper Christopher Gadd, one of the most recent victims to lose their life at the hands of someone who isn’t supposed to be here. Now, another family is grieving, and a family is seeking answers.
Trooper Gadd was doing routine patrol Saturday night along Interstate 5 when his vehicle was struck by a speeding SUV, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Gadd was killed, and a suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The suspect, Raul Benitez Santana, was reported to have bloodshot eyes and admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking beer before the deadly crash.
Ice has confirmed that Santana is from Mexico and illegally entered the United States at an unknown time. The suspect also has a criminal record in Washington. The Daily Mail listed his lengthy criminal record, “In May 2013, Santana was charged with driving with a suspended license and hit with a separate charge for marijuana possession. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail for that conviction. In October 2014, Santana was caught driving with a suspended license again and sentenced to another 90 days in jail.”
That is not all, the outlet continued: “He was also charged with domestic violence assault in May 2019 in King County and was given a ticket for going more than 50pmh over the speed limit. The Seattle Enforcement and Removal Operations first encountered Santana in October 2013 after he was arrested for failure to appear in court for driving with a suspended license.”
Santana’s attorneys claim that the officer didn’t have his lights on, so the defendant couldn’t see Gadd, but an eyewitness provided a different story. Alex Assadi, who attempted to render aid to the fallen trooper, claimed he saw a gray SUV ‘with no lights on’ going ‘about 100mph.’ Assadi reached the trooper’s crashed vehicle and attempted to help, saying, “I called out to him a few times, and he didn’t respond to me, and I was watching his stomach for movement, nothing. His right hand was kind of down here by the window, so I reached over and checked his pulse.” Gadd was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gadd’s death leaves behind a wife and two-year-old daughter, and it was preventable. If Santana had been deported or in jail, the trooper would still be alive. This is just the symptom of Joe Biden’s failure to put Americans ahead of illegal immigrants. With no progress being made to secure the border, every tragedy like this only puts more heat on Biden, and with the General Election coming up, that could be bad news for Democrats.
