Much in contrast to the drab unpleasantness of the Biden years, First Lady Melania Trump has released a beautiful Easter message, one which she promulgated on Good Friday, April 18. In it, she commented on what White House Easter event she will be hosting and commented on Good Friday and what she hopes it means.
For reference, Melania will be hosting, on Monday, April 21, the White House Easter Egg Roll. It is an event that officially began in 1878, during the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes, but had informally been going on for years beforehand. After being interrupted by the world wars, it was reinstated by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1953, as is described on the White House website.
In any case, Melania began her sweet message by thanking the staff for working around the important holiday to prepare for the Egg Roll, saying, “As families across the nation gather to celebrate Easter, I extend my gratitude to the dedicated East Wing Staff for their tireless effort in preparing the upcoming White House Easter Egg Roll.”
Continuing, she noted the history of the event and how children have long loved it, saying that she enjoys being part of such joy. She wrote, “This cherished tradition, rooted in history since 1878, brings joy, storytelling, and laughter to America’s children. I look forward to watching all of the smiles light up this memorable day, on Monday.”
Concluding the short and sweet message, Melania commented on Good Friday itself and what she hopes it means to Christians worldwide. Doing so, she wrote, “May this Good Friday inspire hope and faith for all Americans and our friends around the world.”
President Trump posted about Easter as well in a great message on Truth Social. Beginning, he said, “This Holy Week, Christians around the World remember the Crucifixion of God’s Only Begotten Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and, on Easter Sunday, we celebrate His Glorious Resurrection and proclaim, as Christians have done for nearly 2,000 years, ‘HE IS RISEN!'”
Continuing, the president commented on what Christ’s sacrifice means for us, saying, “Through the pain and sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, we saw God’s boundless Love and Devotion to all Humanity and, in that moment of His Resurrection, History was forever changed with the Promise of Everlasting Life.”

Concluding, he wrote, “As we approach this Joyous Easter Sunday, I want to wish Christians everywhere a Happy and very Blessed Holiday. America is a Nation of Believers. We need God, we want God and, with His help, we will make our Nation Stronger, Safer, Greater, more Prosperous, and more United than ever before. Thank you, and HAPPY EASTER!”

The statement continued, “This year’s event will offer children and families from across the country the opportunity to experience a day of fun, learning, and memorable moments. As part of the lead up to a nationwide commemoration of the 250th celebration of America’s founding, the America250 initiative—featured on the South Lawn—will bring history to life for kids and families who sign a mini-Declaration of Independence, dress up as Founding Fathers, and enjoy an activity book, George the Star: An America250 Story.”
